I have used this MP3 player for years. It just keeps playing on and on. I have dropped a number of times. You cannot get a better MP3 player. In fact I bought a second one as a spare for when this one goes.

The Sony has good sound; but, not enough features for the cost. It could use some Bluetooth connectivity and the ability to play higher definition.

Has a very cheap feel and the display is grainy. This is something like you would pickup at Walmart for 20.00. For the price ($76.00) its just not worth it. Seriously thinking about returning it. Sound quality is good but doesn't make up for the rest of the issues compared to price. Rather have a refurbished Ipod Touch. Sony is going backwards with quality.

Product required download of Music Center for PC - I did not like what this did to my music files. Too much time wasted to uninstall and repair file system. Then when use Explorer to drag and drop music, it is only available in 'Folder' without album art. Also I experience sound dropout when song # changes. I own Walkman NWZ-E355 which is excellent product. Thought this would be similar, but NO!

Click and drop songs from Macs works well. Playlists are inefficient though. After building the playlist on computer software, it duplicates the songs in the playlist, depleting available memory rapidly. 8.7GB of music ended up occupying over 12GB due to this method. Playlisting would be much more efficient through tagging the library items with a playlist tag-mapping the songs instead of duplicating them. This is why the design aspect was rated at 2 stars.

I received this walkman for a gift this past Christmas. One earbud failed to work within 3 months of just casual usage. I look after and handle my electronics with great care. Very dissatisfied with its quality of headphones provided with the unit.

I bought one of these digital music players in black for my son, then several months later, bought another one in red for my daughter. My husband loaded them up with great music and now both of my children can listen anytime they want, either with headphones, connected to a speaker, or connected to the car speakers. Absolutely wonderful for the price. Very happy with these purchases and it's been a couple years so all continues to go well with both digital music players.

The product itself is decent enough, well made and all, however, I expected from the price and brand name that it would be competing against at least an Ipod Nano. Sadly, that is not the case. Instead it competes against products available online for half of its sale price! Doesn't even play video files and the screen is pretty basic. I am glad I decided to return it and spend the extra money on the 7th generation Ipod Nano. Touch screen and plays movies!! Now that was worth the money.

Sound quality is good. 1. I've only had it < 1 month, so I can't judge longevity which is important to me. 2. Price is high compared to similar products by less-famous manufacturers. 3. Previous similar model had metal case, this model plastic. 4. Display is 1/2 the resolution in x and y than the previous model. 5. Hypersensitive controls, an issue in previous model, was not changed in this one. 6. Controls are so flush to the surface it's nearly impossible to control device without looking, i.e. while driving. 7. Assignable lists removed from this model. 8. Must use computer to set date and time on device. The main reason I replaced the previous unit with this is that I use Sony's Media Go software, in which I have 50 GB of music.
