Nice for the price. Is not compatible with Rhapsody which caused me to which music services at a cheaper price. Second Sony Mp3 for me. Wore out the first one.

This player has fairly good sound, though not quite as good as the Sansa Fuze that is now my secondary player because of its smaller storage capacity. The earbuds that came with it actually stay in my ears, unlike all other earbuds I have tried, because they are silicone and kind of grip on. The player also has a set of holes along one corner so you can run a lanyard through it and just wear it. It is super easy to use and I was able to figure out everything right away. Even the software that came with it works pretty well. It is long enough that it is easy to hold in your palm and work the controls with your thumb. It also looks nice and sleek, and the Walkman nostalgia factor is fun too. My one complaint about the player is that there is no volume wheel in the main control pad--instead there is a Vol up and a Vol down button on the side of the player, so it becomes a 2-hand operation, or a 1-hand slightly awkward operation. It's not a big deal, just enough to vex you a bit. All in all, a good player!

The Sony E Series NWZ-E474 8GB Walkman Video/MP3 Player (Black) provides up to 36 hours of continuous music playback or up to six hours of uninterrupted video playback on a single charge. You can enjoy photos, album artwork and videos on the ultra-bright 2" color LCD display with 320 x 240 QVGA resolution. Or, you can sing along to your favorite songs as the karaoke mode scrolls the lyrics to the latest hits across the screen. The E Series Walkman provides drag-and-drop file transfers for easy uploading of your music, pictures and video from either iTunes or Windows Media Player (WMP).
The E Series also features Sony's exclusive Clear Audio technologies, which include Clear Stereo, Clear Bass and a Digital Sound Enhancement Engine. The technology is designed to restore the clarity and depth of digitally compressed music. Plus, with the integrated dynamic equalizer, you can select a preset genre setting or dial in your own with a custom EQ curve. For added convenience, Sony ships the E Series Walkman with a high-quality pair of EX headphones, so you're ready to go as soon as you open the box.
The E Series Walkman is loaded with accoutrements above and beyond most MP3 players. It has a built-in digital FM tuner, a clock function with alarm and an integrated microphone for voice recording. It even comes preloaded with two games to keep you occupied on your daily commute. Sony also outfitted the device with their SensMe application, which automatically groups your music into separate channels based on beats-per-minute. That way, when you're relaxing you can listen to only relaxing music and when you're working out, you'll only get up-tempo tracks.
