Whilst the picture and sound are good, I am having problems watching live TV using the internet (I do not have an aerial or satellite dish). I have found that Freeserve and Freely do not work on these TVs (Freeserve works in New Zealand only!). I also find that it is difficult to navigate through the system using either of the remotes (why provide 2?) as it requires a lot of clicks and a bit of trial and error to work out which buttons work/don't work at different points in the system. It really is not simple to use.

Its been a while since I last upgraded my TV and things have come a long way! What has impressed me most is the integration with my home cinema, The ARC is much more fluid than my previous model. Also the ease of use.. I only need the one remote, Its far less complicated to use too. The speaker is very good quality. The only downside is, because the sound mainly passes through my NAD Amp or my BOSE soundbar I have l AV sinc issues despite making the necessary adjustments in the sound settings. Not something I had with my outgoing LG unit.

I am so much delighted that I purchased this one and was not swayed by gimmicks from other brands. Sony never disappoints esp. nothing can match Sony when it comes to upscaling any ordinary content. The only problem is that now my Bravia 7 is being ignored after the entry of Bravia 8 II in my household.

Purchased this a few weeks ago and am not impressed at all... Power lead is captive and too short to go down the duct in the wall located at the centre position of the TV so contacted support, only to learn that there is no solution. Also then found out that the Plug cannot be removed if the lead actually was long enough or the Warranty is invalidated?? After researching online, I learned that the problem with captive power leads has been an issue for many people, but SONY in their infinite wisdom have not done anything about it. It just needed a 2 Pin socket on the rear and customers could pick a suitable lead that was fit for purpose. I'm now left with a black power cable dangling down the wall and no sensible way to resolve this, thanks! Also hat the Screen protector problem that other reviewers have reported. It appears that the Blue pull tabs have been fitted to the outside of the protector, so when you pull them, the just peel off, leaving the protector behind. I also cannot understand why they had to supply two different cheap plastic remotes, with different features so you nearly always need both available. Tv has been stuck on '1 Pending update' for a week, but when I check in the menus, there are no updates. I've tried clearing the Cache, rebooting etc. but no solution. Also having all sorts of issues, HDMI inputs that refuse to report their name tag 'Blueray' & instead report 'Player_1', a HDMI port (2) that that suggests I could use port 4 but then has no option to use port 2 and shows the menu for the Blueray player instead . All in all, a bit of a mess.... All in all, very disappointed and would have expected much more for a £2,500 investment. Unsure why I can't post a review, unless I include an image, so here's a Lemon

I bought my K-55XR8M2 about 2 weeks ago and am so happy with it except for one thing?.. ?.. I have always turned off my TVs etc fully rather than on just on standby. When I turn it on, it takes soooo looooong to boot up. I have never had a TV like this before. Whether it's due to Google TV or what I have no idea as my internet is ultra high speed. However, apart from that, I am gobsmacked over the picture quality and, without any boosters etc, the sound is excellent for TV speakers. I will probably never reach the end of the options available to me AND it sorted out all of my free-to-view tv stations which most of which I've never had access to before despite using the same tv arial; well done Sony!

Excellent TV works well with PS5 Pro, XSX and Switch! Onboard processor isn't powerful enough to run uncompressed movies but an Apple TV fixes that, else no other complaints!

The to picture is quite good and the sound is ok but the support service is very poor. This a complex device with lots of good features , but no useful user guide is provided, you can download one from the Sony website, but it's 174 pages. The (un)helpful agent says you can view it your smartphone which us avery difficult thing to do. She also said that Sony don't provide a printed manual in accordance with EU paper regulations, she was confused that the UK is not in the EU, I did explain that it's better for the environment for Sony to mass produce a guide than me doing it my HP. The agent also had to no knowledge about setting up this TV. I expected better service for £2,000

I received this tv as a birthfday gift. I would describe myself as being more than competent to instal most tvs, hifi audio and computers, both Mac and Windows, but this Bravia takes the biscuit in its difficulty in setting up. Also, a FREESAT Satellite tuner would be my choice instead of the Free to air tuner installed.I had the Sony Profel system in the 80s and drifted away to Samsung. If I can offload the Bravia I'll be back to Samsung, If I could, I would return it to the shop. Barry Williams

The TV is really nice, great colors and processing, with some minor issues that should be addressed in the future: ethernet port limited to 100Mbps, weird choice, I would have expected a 1Gbps port for future proofing. When used via optical out with a sonos soundbar, there is an audio syncing issue sometimes, especially when viewing dolby content. Apart from these, really happy with this purchase and how Dolby Vision looks.

It's a nice tv, picture colour . I don't like the fact you can't get rid of the black bars top and bottom of screen on some movies. Why it doesn't come with a zoom feature so you can watch the full screen ,is beyond me. Since I only watch Netflix and Amzon. I took the TV back, very disappointed.

After reading reviews of this TV, I had great expectations. Instead I have been left totally disappointed. Firstly the screen protector has been next to impossible to peed off. The tabs you're supposed to use just came off in my hands. I had to use super strong tape and so much force. Not really what you want to do with a delicate oled panel. Talking of which, the picture quality is rubbish. Poor colours, no sparkle, no detail or definition. This is with 4K blu rays. Honestly I get a much better picture with my 10 year old Samsung LCD. What a nightmare.

In a word, it's cheap. Also a step backwards in my opinion. It replaced the A95L which was a premium built TV with extras included. This has zero extras and just left holes in the chassis where the extras used to be (the camera). Another cheap move is replacing the premium metal remote control that WAS backlit with a all plastic remote that is not backlit. Making it harder at night. People says it's brighter. Brighter doesn't mean better. To me the picture looks inferior. I am not impressed at all. Watching colourful content like Thor Ragnarok on Blu-ray just didn't feel the same. I could go on but I've made my point. Avoid it and buy the older model before Sony got cheap.

I have had the tv for a couple of weeks, the picture is absolutely fantastic as I had expected, especially with Dolby Vision, even when watching old programmes from the 80s the picture is still much better then on my old LG tv. It was so easy to set up and connect to my Sky system and my Samsung soundbar, even without the soundbar the tv sound is very good indeed.
