In the vast majority of cases when technology fails, the cause is "pilot error", that is, me. However, in this specific instance of adding a Play 1 set of speakers to a Playbar soundbar, this will NOT work because it is incompatible with my home network. Really? I have a home network that supports a 65" OLED LG TV, It supports all the streaming services in 4K (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc.). It supports multiple Echo's with Alexia, it supports Apple iPhone X & 11, along with Dell laptops and wireless printers. Did I mention, it also supports a home security system? But this network (most likely in need of improvement) was not good enough for Sonos to add two speakers to a soundbar for a home theater experience. I had held the Sonos brand in very high regard until yesterday. The Playbar I had was simple and produced excellent sound. And the brand of Sonos - was how easy to have the best. I was excited. Step 1 was to create the surround sound experience with my TV set, then to have Sonos speakers throughout the house, tied into a system with Alexa so that everywhere I could have the ultimate in sound and wonder. Well bag that idea – Sonos doesn't do what it says it does. This is a huge disappointment. Two days ago, I had a plan to cover my house in Sonos and today I have one and only one Sonos product (I am returning the Play1's today as they are useless) and will never have another. This is truly a disappointment and while I am bummed, I will find another company whose products will actually work together, you see, we are almost 20 years into the 21st century and there are a lot of very good companies making very good products – Sonos is just not one of them. Sonos markets well, products, not so much…….

The speaker is not airplay compatible, so if you have podcasts on your iPad, etc. that you used to play on your play:1, you can't any longer. Not sure why Sonos didn't update the software or create a workaround for people who have these speakers.

I've spent close to $1000 on Play one speakers and have them in multiple rooms in the house, sound is fantastic but...... I'm now unable to play my Iphone music library. This was one of the primary reasons I bought the speakers and I shouldn't have to subscribe to a streaming service to play songs I've already payed for. I'm not understanding the logic behind eliminating this feature. This needs to be fixed.

I have been using Sonos Play Ones for almost two years. I also have three Bose Soundtouch speakers. I find that the Sonos sound is far superior to the Bose. The Bose cannot be calibrated and bass and treble controls are not available like the Play Ones. Another nice feature in the Sonos is that they are moisture resistant and I can play any of them in the bathroom while I am showering. A number of friends have suggested that I should have considered Blue Sound because it's supposed to be an audiophile speaker with lossless audio. I compared the two systems and found not much of a difference, so I went with the Pioneer in wifi speaker category. I have six Play Ones. Two of which are connected to my Sonos Beam soundbar as rest surround speakers. The best home theater system I ever had.

Great everything but it's annoying having to keep my computer on to play my music library.

Sets up in minutes via the app, expandable with other Sonos devices and creates beautiful music and heart stomping cinematic experience. Disappointed after a few months one of my Play:1's stopped working unfortunately warranty doesn't cover anymore. Only offer I had was a discount if I choose to replace. Would have been a great product if it lasts and if service if customer service is better.

I love my Sonos system. I have six speakers and two additional units so I can use some of my existing speakers. It is very easy to setup and the sound is great. Keep up the good work.

It's great but it doesn't support AirPlay so difficult to us using Sonos app

The sound is great and set up is easy. My issue is how limited the streaming options are. There is no Bluetooth and everything must be streamed using the Sonos app. You can't go directly to Spotify and play, you must go to the Sonos app, download the Sonos verson of Spotify to play. Sonos verson of Spotify does not have full features. For the money, a little under $300, you can find something much more versatile. Many streaming platforms missing for download or simply do not work.

The sound quality was great but the tech is garbage and the setup is tedious at best. We bought 5 and took 3 weeks trying to make it work so we could keep them and ultimately returned them and bought the Bose SoundTouch which was up and working in less than 10minutes for all of our music stations and apps.

It would be nice if you gave an overview of the steps. It seems like you had to initialize them and then connect them up which caused my setup time to be over several days as I didn't have the hour or two required (I was setting up 4). Also the chime you are supposed to hear is not a chime. Change how it sounds or change the name.

Sonos is my favorite WiFi speaker system and I willl forever continue to purchase sonos speakers so long as their quality remains as good as it is now. Fix your update issues though please so I don't have to restart my whole configuration every time there's a gosh darn update.

While this will not replace a stereo pair plus an amplifier and/or receiver, it is nearly perfect for causal listening, or playing music while you read or work. The bass is surprisingly full, especially for a speaker this small. The "con" is that it often loses its internet connection. I have several streaming devices and have owned many more. The signal in my bedroom is solid and yet I often have to unplug the speaker and plug it back in, and quite often set up again by plugging the ethernet port into my router.

We loved our Sonos system for many years and recently just added to it. Unfortunately, their most recent update (with no heads up to their customers) has completely destroyed the experience. We do not have airplay compatible speakers (5 play 1's and a playbar). The most recent update removed the ability to stream from IOS devices unless using airplay. Now my system is obsolete for the purpose we used it for and I am reduced to using a UE Boom. I am unlikely to buy additional products after this and am looking into a replacement system. The response from the Sonos team was essentially we could not figure out how to make the software not glitchy so we are giving you the middle finger. Thanks a lot Sonos for a few good years I will be moving on now.

Why would you make it impossible to play my music library off of my phone? I purchase nine of these units and now I have to listen to your stations and your commercials....

These small speakers have great sound. It is such a nice option to either have the same music or different music in all rooms.

Removing the ability to play my music on my device was a horrible business decision. You should upgrade any play:1 or play:3 for free to accommodate airplay

Having 2 in a room is not necessary but having 2 in a room as a left and right pair, sounds incredible.

We bought the Sonos speaker for a 1200 sq ft salon & retail space. We specifically wanted music in the front of the salon, as we have an esthetician and massage therapist towards the back who provide their own music. I appreciate that it is VERY Easy to set up and get working! With everything that had to go in "new" into the business, I can say with great confidence that Sonos was one of only a few things that went in without a glitch or hassle! I will be buying one for my home with multiple speakers & recommending it to friends!

Overall terrific system. Disappointing with the controller app. Stops working and cannot control the speakers. Must turn off wireless router to get control back after speakers reset. Same problem with two smartphones and two tablets.

Top notch product, delivers what it promises

Great product and fantastc sound from such a small unit. Certainly can compete with similar units from BOSE and others.
Excellent sound in such a small package.

No wires is amazing. Why has this taken so long. Would like to see a better price or deeper discounts for multiple speakers
