Questions & Answers

Shopper : I want to locate the rule of thirds lines on the screen and I don't have the manuel, any thoughts on this?RUSSELL R : What you are looking for is called "Guide Frame" under the "Marker" heading under the "LCD/VF" set of the menu. This divides the wide screen frame into 9 parts, so 3 divisions in each direction so it is easier to visualize the "Rule of Thirds" for framing and composition judgements, but keep in mind that that rule is just a guideline and theory, there are a number of issues and feels to composition decisions. The theory was discussed over 200 years ago especially for landscape painters, so it is no hard and fast rule, but a good start. Cheers. RussHAL P : Sorry, I have no idea. Suggest you contact a Sony Professional Service Center.
Peter P : This camera is a Pal? SDI outputs with embedded audio is it?HAL P : I believe it is not PAL. However PAL is European SD. The PMW-200 can be set to American 30 & 60 frame and European 25 & 50 frame HD. It meets EBU specifications for HD. Hal ProtterANDREW R : Unfortunately, PAL recording capability is not specified by the manufacturer. SDI Out = BNC x1, HD/SD switchable, SMPTE-292M/259M
michelle c : how do you clear the cards off when done shooting without doing it in the camera? we have a couple card readers but they don't clear them - should i be using a specific program?RUSSELL R : Michelle, Sorry, I 've not done that and can't help you. RussGEORGE C : While you camera is hooked up to your computer. Wipe it by dumping everything on the card into your trash bin while the camera is still hooked up to your comp. While it technically is still in camera, you are wiping it using your computer.ONIK O : You can firmat it in the camera, or delete the clip once you conect the card reader to the computer.
