The Sony 2-Year Service Plan with ADH for Professional Camcorders ($1 - $1500) is protection PLUS an Extended Service Plan (ESP) including an option for Accidental Damage from Handling (ADH) for the professional lineup of camcorders. This program protects your camcorder investment against the cost of unexpected repairs, outside Sony's limited warranty period. With the purchase of a Protection PLUS ESP customers are safeguarded from out-of-pocket repair costs from the date they purchase a Sony professional camcorder for up to three years. Pricing is determined by the selling price of the camcorder and corresponding SKU ranges. Extended Service Plans (ESP) Provides coverage for mechanical or electrical failure experienced during normal use, including CCD Block / C-MOS Imager. Protection for your professional camcorder begins the day of your purchase so you can avoid out-of-pocket repair expenses. Accidental Damage from Handling (ADH) provides protection against accidents such as drops, spills or screen breakage from the date of the product purchase. Protection begins on the date of product purchase to avoid out of-pocket repair expenses.

ADH coverage does not protect products in the cases of (a) theft, loss, misplacement, war, terrorism, fire, abuse, a willful or intentional act, (b) alteration or modification of the Product in any way, (c) damage caused by failure to perform manufacturer's recommended operating instructions/standards or recommended maintenance, (d) cosmetic damage (e.g., scratches or dents) that does not prevent the proper functionality or use of the Product.
