Compliant to severe Sony original testing in addition to Military standards, the unit is able to absorb falls of up to 2.4 meters (with the hard case, 2 meters without the hard case). The unit is also protected against droplets of water such as weak rain, as well as being protected sufficiently to maintain a certain level of operation and safety even if dust particles enter it.

The PSZ-HB1T provides 1TB capacity and the PSZ-HB2T provides 2TB capacity. 2TB of high capacity ensures backup and storage of large-sized files, such as 4K movies. The 2TB model can store up to 300min of 4K XAVC footage (60p, 600Mbps). High-speed data transfer at 122MB/s for the PSZ-HB2T, 120MB/s for the PSZ-HB1T.
