Cheap plastic and doesn’t work with iPad USB dongle unless you add power to the dongle. Can’t wait for CFE.

For the price I think it works great and is a must have for anyone using xqd cards. More expensive xqd card readers might be faster transder speed wise but I have no complaints with this one.

This device works exactly as designed and is sturdy. Includes a sort of cap which can be seen in the standard product photo to protect the key components - this fits snugly . No issues and price is fair, buy one!

Unfortunately this is necessary for use with an XQD card. The plastic housing is lightweight, flexes and moves. the male USB connector sticks out more than usual and the included female cable is so deeply recessed that it will not work with other standard USB items. Too many weak links on this XQD reader ,I don't expect it to last. It would be fine if this was a free extra with the XQD card, however its not and since the other XQD manufacturer's have stopped making them there is no incentive for Sony to price anything XQD competitively.

Since Nikon says their camera's USB port is not bi-directional (I call BS on that one) you are stuck having to purchase a card reader. The Sony one is great. Transfers seem pretty quick and allowed me to update my Z6 by transfer to the root directory of the card.

This inexpensive USB or the more expensive USB card reader are the only two units Sony offers to copy QXD cards for the PXW-FS7 M2. It’s something Sony should have included with the purchase of the body like a charger and small battery normally is.

It gets the job done to read the contents of your QXD card and is lightweight to pack in your camera gear bag. I'm docking one stars for build quality though, the casing seems to rattle due to being too loose.

The adapter is just as pictured and works great. It can be used with the longer corfd that comes with it or plugged directly into the usb port. Photos are transferred with no issues.

I bought this adapter so I could do two different things: 1) transfer photos from my new Nikon Z 6 mirrorless camera to my Apple MacBook Pro laptop using a USB connection; and 2) update the firmware on my Z 6 from 1.00 to 1.01 and any future firmware updates from Nikon. I am amazed at how fast the XQD memory card operates, and this adapter lets me fully utilize this new capability. Anyone who has a camera using a XQD memory card needs this adapter!
