The RM-AV2 will connect to the camera and provide remote Power ON/OFF, Zoom (2 speed) and Record Start/Stop, as well as remote Still image if you are in a mode that will allow for still images (some hi-res modes do not allow for still images.)VENKAT J : I think it will. Works good

My only complaint about this is that the zoom is a little bit touchy. My main need was for start-stop recording from a short distance away. I would have liked it also if some sort of extension cord was provided for longer distances, but that's not so much a complaint as just a wish. It works fantastic for what I needed and no problems at all with it.

When I want to use manfrotto and gitzo video heads, this clip on is fast, portable,and adds fluid movement.

Good usage with Monopod

I used this product with Sony Camcorder on a monopod with situations where you need long arms for the controls, especially when the monopod is fully extended. Results were very good.
