Sony 4GB Memory Stick Pro HG Duo Media, 8-bit Parallel Interface

The Memory Stick Pro HG Duo Media flash memory cards, curently being offered in 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB storage capacities, will deliver faster recording and shorter data transfer time.

The updated MS Pro HG Duo card adds four more connector pins than the previous Sony Memory Stick media, and now has a 8-bit parallel interface. Sony has created these media cards in response to the continuing increase in higher megapixel digital cameras and camcorders now available on the market.

Faster 30 MB per second data transfer rate, is now possible with the addition of the connector pins. The Memory Stick Pro HG Duo media is of course backwards compliant with previous 4-bitparallel interface devices, and withstands temperature ranges from -13°F to +185°F.
