Questions & Answers

Shopper : will this card work in a Nikon d500?JAMES W : The Nikon D500 is capable of using the following type of memory: "SD, SDHC, SDXC, or XQD". This Sony card is SDHC, so you should be good to go! That said, this camera (D500) already has the ability to shoot continuously at full resolution, right? If so, it begs the question, why do you need the fastest card on the market. I can't see you benefiting from it. --The price is great though! Hopefully this helps.WILLIAM R : I wish I had a D500 to try it on for you, but I don't. My opinion is that it should be able to operate in your camera at the camera's top speed. At 20 megapixels RAW at 60 fps on my Olympus, it will take a little while before the digital pathways, from the camera to the buffer to the the chip, slow down. Since that is some massive data transfer, it requires a fast chip. At 18fps, I have not shot the cameras long enough to slow it down. I have had no problems with the chips or the images come off of them so far.WAYNE B : You can find a listing of which cards go with the various cameras at the Photography life website. They just published the list on Nov. 19, 2018 It is the best site (BY FAR) that I have found for truthful camera and lens reviews also.TANNER G : Yes. I bought this card for my D500 and use it as my primary card most of the time because it's easier to offload the images as my computer has a built in SD reader. I only use the xqd card as overflow or set it as primary when I need an absolute guarantee that the buffer wont fill up.
Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?James S : have others of this card, they are quick and reliableVICTOR C : i have been using the Sony since I bought my A7RIII I find them to be very reliable. I am sure that Lexar & Sandisk make great UHS II U3 cards as a matter of fact I use the sandisk in my second slot. But I don’t want to risk a shoot over a few dollarsJOHN D : for new sony camera I bought herePhilip G : memoryRicardo M : brand and speedRoyCopeland R : Needed fast card for my nikon D-850ERIC H : best compatible card for the Sony cameraDANIEL N : needed it for my nikon D850

SONY A7RIV TESTED!

Using a pair with Sony A7RIV. No delay noted during 4K video recordings and burst mode shots. More than a thousand shots in the last month with no problems in transfer. Shooting in RAW + Fine JPEG. Pricey. Cost should come down with time.

Fast, reliable and trust-worthy cards that won't let you down! You need quality cards for your quality images!

I recently purchased Sony A7RIV, which produces 61 MP images. I needed beasts of SD cards that can keep up with the beasty camera itself. After a lot of research, I decided to go with this Sony SDXC G card at 300 MB/s for many reasons and I am glad I did. It sure can keep up with the size and read/write speed are both very quick. It is reliable and I am able to transfer files without any issues and it just makes me feel comfortable, knowing I have robust G cards to support my camera. I was coming from Nikon DSLR and when I was moving to Sony Mirrorless, I simply wanted to invest in cards that I know I can use for a long term without regrets of not getting what's best out there. The packaging is very nice and comes in the cases that I can carry in with good protection. Whether I shoot singles or continuous, I can see my images immediately. I have not tested on video yet, but I don't doubt that this will do the job. My only complain would be the price that these are very expensive SDXC cards and it did hurt the bank, but I am definitely enjoying shooting with a quality cards I can trust.

Sony SDXC G-Series memory cards.

Possibly the best SDXC memory cards on the market!? I own both the M-Series, and G-Series Sony SDXC memory cards in both 64GB, and 128GB. I use them in both my Pro level DSLR camera’s, and a top end point & shoot DSLR camera, and a high end point & shoot camera, and also in a Pro Camcorder. No problems to date. Purchase whichever series level that your DSLR Camera, or Camcorder can handle the speed’s!? Recommend they highly!

Sony SDXC G-Series Memory card’s.

One of the best; if not the best SDXC high speed memory cards available on the market. No need to purchase any of these G-Series memory cards if your camera isn’t designed for one, or can’t handle the speeds! Purchase a Sony M-Series memory card then. Another excellent Sony memory card. I have never had any problems with either a G-Series, or an M-Series Sony memory card. And I have quite a few of them for both DSLR Pro level camera’s, top end point & shot DSLR camera’s, and a Pro Camcorder! They are worth the price! Even better when they are on special’s!

Best SD

I'd never thought much about SD cards until I got a very high resolution camera and began shooting far more video. Trust me when I say you will not disappointed. If you shoot high resolution photos or need a card that can keep up with your buffer you will want this card. I don't shoot particularly fast but every other card I've had hits it's write wall in just a few shots. Not this card. Within reason I can shoot as fast as I like without worrying about stopping so that the card can be written to. Great card.

nEEDED A uhs-ii card for my new camera

I am not an expert by any means, but in searching for some of the better cards that would meet my needs this came up. It does seem way better than the older card I had, which gave me some issues while recording video. Great card.

Absolutely love this Card!

If you have any of Sony's latest cameras with the UHS-ii slot then this card is a must! The speed keeps your camera from overheating in video mode and makes transferring footage or photos super quick. I've got several of these and plan to get more.

Good value considering the current state of technology, but would like to see price come down.

Very pleased with the read and write speeds, required with Sony A7RIII shooting in RAW.

Sony G Series UHS-II U3 Class 10 SDHC is super fast

The G series SD cards are the best I own. The transfer rates can handle anything the Sony 7 series can put out and plug it into your computer and it performs equally as fast transferring those images.

Disappointed

Took around 600 photos on a shoot last week. Tried to upload the photos and the card was corrupted. Thi is the second time in a month. I have relatively new Sony A7lll purchased in May. The camera has dual card slots so I was able to save the shoot with the backup. I had purchased another Sony card like this one except it was 32GBs. It died completely in July. Neither card seemed to download photos as fast as they claim but that is just my opinion not tested on any equipment.

Difficult to get warranty

I bought from BH last Nov, Everything was fine before, the problem came from after I update my camera 7r3 system to 2.1. It always shows: cannot recover data. I have no problem with another card. This problematic card does not work on other cameras. I contacted Sony's warranty, but I have not received a reply from January 22.

High capacity and super fast

This is my second Sony SF-G SDXC card, this time at a higher capacity. I shoot this with a matching QXD card so as to always have two copies of everything I shoot. Shooting the Nikon D850 @ 9FPS really benefits from very fast cards, so I'm happy with the Sonys.

Card died

I bought this SD with high hopes. I shoot my boys sports so I wanted a fast card. I bought this card December 3, 2018 and today January 21, 2019 it told me it was not readable! It died after a month of having it!

you can never go wrong with these cards...i've used various other brands before & always come back to sony, especially after sandisk made a batch of cards that ended up being incompatible with the new sony a7iii....
