Purchased for use with NWZ-S545 (16G) player. Works great, sounds great, (at least to me), plenty loud enough for 10w/10w (20w) system. Really glad I purchased it, and transaction w/Sony smooth & quick delivery w/tracking. Only problem w/manual did not list model S545 or S544 as compatible player(s) on chart for S- series players. Also had to use dock attachment that came w/S545, the two attachments provided are not exactly for S545/S544, I guess that's why it came with one of its own. Remote is nice, although the +/- folder buttons do not seem to work w/S545, the manual notes do mention this. All in all very, very, pleased with purchase & dock.

I've purchased a couple of small speakers to listen to my Sony MP3 player, but they both came up short in sound quality. This is the one I should have bought right from the start. The sound quality is excellent. And as long as there is an electrical outlet near by, I listen to it both inside & outside my home whenever I want to crank up the sounds.

The unit has great sound...its design and function purpose meets all of my expectations. I haven't attempted to connect it to my home stereo system yet ( I was told it is possible and will be easy to do, by a sales rep here).

I am astounded at the quality of this docking station. Not only is it sleek and streamlined (looks good), the sound is absolutely wonderful!!! The ipod systems I've listened to don't even compare. I highly recommend Sony walkman and the docking station to mp3 buyers.

I wasn't expecting such good sound quality from such a small unit. It easily fills my room with music. Nice punchy bass which can get distorted if you've turned on Clear Bass on your Walkman as well as a bass boost on the speaker. Remote is excellent, but doesn't support song searching, only folder up/down and up/next. Have had it for around a year and no complaints at all.

Have never written a review for a product before but felt so strongly about this, I had to! First, l'm an Apple hater so I love both my Sony MP3 players, they are awesome!! Had looked for a Sony Docking Station and finally found this one, was thrilled!! Until I got it home! 10 whole watts!! 20 combined! I have both size MP3 players and would have to change the adapter back and forth, not convenient! Neither player fits with their cover on, so I have to remove it each time and then put it back on, not convenient. Nice long cord!! The con, voltage regulator right in the middle of it making it a challenge to run the cord, or move the docking station! Did I say 10 watts!! 10 watts!! The overall look is nice and I like it having a remote. But I am returning mine today!! It is truly over-priced. For $150 it should be a much better product. Flat out, this is worth maybe $50-60. Completely over-priced and not well designed. My recommendation - DON"T BUY!

I called Sony and asked if either of my Walkmen would fit in any docking station that they have. I bought both models to use with my computer and in my car that has a USB port. Both of my Walkmen are E series. If you have a USB port the docking stations will not fit your Walkman. Here's an idea Sony, what about an adapter?

I purchased a Walkman NWZ -S545 and purchased this station dock not realiizing it did not have the capability to receive AM/FM reception. How does Sony expect to challenge Apple and its IPOD if it has limited compatible listening optionsfor its own MP3 players. Sony has more speaker systems for the IPOD than it does for its own MP3 players - Is Sony phasing out its own MP3 players? Shame because I am not an IPOD junkie but may have to switch to the other side. Sony please put up a fight!

This is the best mp3 dock I have ever used. It has amazing sound and fills a room completely. The dock itself looks great and is the perfect size to put on a dresser, desk, table etc. A great buy, I reccomend it to anyone with a walkman player.

Read my reviews on the older unit, its just 10.00 cheaper, but boy what a differance, this one can be played in larger rooms lots of bass ,its louder better looking, larger unit,i just love it, just hope they dont stop here, go sony. bigtyrone.
