Sony SRS-XB3 2 Channel Portable Wireless Speaker, Single, Blue

I've owned this Bluetooth speaker for over a year now, and am very happy with what it does and how it does it. Among the features I like are: the battery is charged quite fast and lasts quite long on each charge, the sound is loud enough for my residence and clear enough for my "palate", and the lights are really cool. There are two features though that my Bose Soundlink Mini 2 has that this Sony speaker is missing. The 1st of the two is a nice-to-have but not a must, and that is the ability to choose multiple foreign languages in which the Bluetooth speaker "talks". The 2nd feature that this Sony speaker is missing is the absence of the 3.5mm port (jack) for a wired connection with non-bluetooth devices such as a Walkman or a Diskman. It's a real pity that it comes across as if Sony chose to penny-pinch and save money on this little but very important feature. If this Sony speaker had the 3.5mm port for wired connectivity, then I would rate it as a Five. Thank You for the opportunity to provide this feedback. I brought this item because when I got a new sofa without built in speakers it was a condition that I got a hands free, Bluetooth speaker. I went with Sony as I know there quality is good and the price was the maximum I wanted to spend at the time, I don’t regret buying it I only regret not getting two so I can link the speakers together. I have looked and I can’t find this speaker anymore it’s only the ones with the lights around which are good but not what I want.

Bought couple of weeks ago. Am satisfy with the sound quality for a portable wireless speaker especially. The extra bass is superb for a reasonable price speaker.

First of all I have to say that the build quality is amazing very tough and splash proof (apparently) the sound and clarity of sound that this produces is amazing and I will definitely be getting another to connect together for stereo sound

The srsxb3blk for the size the bass is very powerful and mid and high are very present, and by adding the Sony music app you can adjust the sound the way you want, I really love it.

Purchased this a couple of weeks a go to replace a Bose Soundlink Mini. I have to say it feels a quality product and I like that it is splash proof as well. I find the sound to be very bass heavy and lacking in top end a bit. It is easy to set up and use and I am sure it will get used a lot on the holiday later in the year.

I was looking for a portable speaker or speakers primarily for use in my work delivering work-based training, which includes short videos, to groups of up to 25 people. I've tried various pairs of wired speakers which never seemed to have enough power and they took time to set up and put away. The Sony SRS-XB3 is ideal. It is easy to carry (I travel all over the country, often on trains), sets up almost instantly (connecting automatically to the last Bluetooth device used) and fills even a big room with sound. It's not just the volume and clarity of sound available, the SRS-XB3 achieves a very wide, even spread and it's hard to tell where the sound is coming from. At my last session one of the staff being trained (who also turned out to be a professional musician, experienced with live sound and recording) asked if there were additional speakers behind the projector screen. Aside from my training, I've used the speaker in my hotel room between sessions and at home for streaming music. Whilst not quite hifi quality, it's very impressive and listenable for the price and size of the unit. Highly recommended.

I can take this speaker anywhere with me and enjoy listening to music at a pleasant sound level without missing any calls or knocks at the door (which frequently did when listening on headphones). Very pleased with it.

My parents bought me this for Christmas two years ago and I’m still rocking with it! It has great sound and I take it into the bathroom with me all the time, it has been exposed to the water elements before and hasn’t phased it.

I bought a second speaker and depress the add button, in a second, i choose left and right for each speakers. listen to music and the sound is fantastic. Imaging yourself at about 30 miles from civilization, listening to your favorite music with this setup you wont believe it.

I got my speakers few days ago. It's really nice, it manages to produce sound with punchy basss, which i love it the most. I also noticed several things that need to improve...which are the lack of "play/pause", "previous" and "next" key. Whenever i need to change the songs or play/pause my songs, i need to refer it to my phones, whichh is truly inconvenient. The next thing is a bit weird and minor but i still have to address it here. The sounds produced is clearer when connected to the phones compared to the speaker connected to my laptop. The files being played is the same...but it's more punchy, crystal clear, and more bass when the speaker is connected to the phone. Note that they are both connected via Bluetooth.

Being waterproof means I can bring this portable speaker to the beach and enjoy wonderful music with my friends! Super happy to have this speaker, loud and able to last for super long hours, perfect for hanging out the entire day!
