Great piece of kit
After using this speaker for two weeks now, this is my own personal review. Firstly WOW !! what a fantastic speaker this is, the build quality is very impressive, rubber at the ends with what seems to be a waterproof mesh covering the rest of the body, after all the is an IP67 rated speaker which is water proof and dust proof. What is the X-Balanced Speaker Unit?
Unlike the circular diaphragm in a conventional speaker unit, the newly developed X-Balanced Speaker Unit in the XB43 features an almost rectangular diaphragm.
What does it do?
The unit's rectangular shape not only maximizes the area of speaker diaphragm, increasing sound pressure for more punchy bass-it also reduces driver excursion while maintaining the same sound pressure, resulting in less distortion and greater vocal clarity.
