I would suggest you call Sony to verify the 40" TVTIM C : I used the adaptor on a Sony Bravia 32 inch tv with success, only issue was distance from my Internet router to pick up signal, found out it worked when on same level of my house, walls in homes tend to block signal. Shopper : Hello, I have a two-story home my Verizon router with wifi is not picking up a strong signal would this item work???RICHARD D : With any Sony products you will have to buy USB connectors. Once we hooked up the USB we have had no problems. Also, if your phone is dal, you will need to call your provider a order a filter that plugs into the phone jack on all phones plugged into jacks. Not for any cable lines or dal or wifi.
the USB we bought from the Sony store on line was about $75...the phone filter from AT&T was $5

Jacksonville, flCALVIN M : This item will allow your Sony TV to connect to your wifi router for internet access. Depending on how strong your router's wifi signal is may determine how well this product works. For me, I have a similar setup with wifi router upstairs and TV downstairs. Signal was not strong enough to work when this adaptor was plugged directly into back of TV. When I used the adaptor's extension cable and mounted it up high, it worked a lot better.WILLIAM R : I am assuming the Verizon router is directly attached to the internet and is sending a signal to your various adapters. I purchased this Sony unit because the Sony Blu-Ray dvd player was WiFi compatable but did not have a built in adapter. This unit as I was informed by Sony is only compatable with Sony products that neeed an add on adapter to send and receive signal from the router. If your Verizon router is in fact the origin router I would check its placemet in the house as signal travels down in a line unless the internal antenna is omni directional and there is minimal shielding in the house. If the router is downstairs, try placing it upstairs. When I upgraded my Linksys 54G router to a router capable of streaming video as well as multiple computers, I opted for the Linksys Dual frequency router. I haven't been sorry.GENE W : I also have a two story home with a WiFi router in my second floor bonus room and my Sony adapter installed in my Sony TV in the family room on the first floor. I have not had any issues with reception, for example, streaming Netflix movies to the TV. It has been a great purchase for me.BRAD K : Doesn't sound promising. I have a UWA-BR100 Adapter but my router is about 5 feet from my TV, so I can't answer your question. My guess is that it will not work well if your signal is weak.
