The UWP-D26 system is a versatile and portable solution for capturing high-quality audio quickly and reliably, even with limited resources. It's an ideal choice for a range of applications, including electronic news gathering (ENG), electronic field production (EFP), documentary filming, and wedding videography.

This durable system includes the UTX-B40 bodypack transmitter, UTX-P40 XLR plug-on transmitter, and URX-P40 receiver, along with a selection of useful accessories. It boasts advanced digital audio processing technology by Sony, ensuring high-quality sound with improved transient response performance.

The UWP-D26 system also offers a new optional digital audio interface for direct digital sound recording with many Sony professional camcorders and Alpha interchangeable lens cameras. This feature bypasses A/D and D/A conversion stages, further enhancing sound quality.

Seamless integration with compatible Sony camcorders is another key feature of this system. When used with the SMAD-P5 Multi Interface shoe adaptor, audio information such as RF level meter, audio mute status, and transmitter low battery alert are displayed in the camera's viewfinder. The wireless receiver can also receive power from the camera, enabling synchronized power on/off between camera and receiver for efficient power management.

Sony's unique NFC SYNC feature allows for quick, intuitive secure channel setting between transmitter and receiver.
