Just what you need

This is the cable you need. You may need to buy a different USB cable to actually us the Sony cable. You need a M-M cable when the cables you have lying around, if any, it will be a M-F cable, so after you get the Sony cable in the mail, check it out and then go to Radio Shackj, CompUSA.com or your favorite store and try to find the cable you need. Take the camera and the cable to the store with you to make sure it works. The price could be about half that asked. Have fun - the camera is a killer!

Works great!

Allows me to take just the camcorder, charger and a 2.5" USB hard drive on a trip. I can then offload the video to the USB drive every night with no concerns about storage capacity.
