The VPL-CX80 multi purpose 3000 ANSI lumens projector is stylish and compact making it suitable for almost any environment. Adopting Sony's unique virtual lighting source system with .79-inch LCD panels and 190W lamp, the VPL-CX80 can reproduce images at 3000 ANSI lumens eliminating the need to turn off the lights during a presentation or class.

Three .79-inch XGA panels provide a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels for RGB input and 750 horizontal TV lines for video input. The VPL-CX80 provides clean and detailed reproduction of all images. The VPL-XC80 achieves high picture quality with Sony original Digital Signal Processing technology, and provides digital signal processing by adopting a driver for the LCD panel that directly accepts digital signals, thus the projector is capable of projecting images with high accuracy.

The 10-bit 3D Gamma correction circuit assures the superb gray scale and uniformity. Fine adjustments are made individually on the divided parts ofthe panel at the given signal level, assuring more accurate uniformity and control on the panel.

When the power is switched on, the powered lens protector opens automatically. You will never waste time looking for a missing lens cover - it is always safe on the projector.

The projector angle can be set using the power-operated tilt adjuster via the supplied remote commander. The new setting is stored in memory and is instantly returned to the position the next time the projector is turned on.

Keystone distortion can be corrected up to a projector tilt angle of 20 degrees by the remote control unit. This means that images can be projected with the correct geometry even where installation space is limited. The Smart APA automatically sizes and adjusts the PC images for optimum picture quality.

Auto input search checks the projectors input connectors and automatically selects the input with a supplied signal. Your image is projected form the moment you turn the projector on. The VPL-CX80 is equipped with a powered zoom and focus lens that allows users to zoom and focus via the remote commander.

The VPL-CX80 can project an 80-inch size image from a distance of 2.4m that enables large sized images to be projected, even in a limited amount of space. The VPL-CX80 comes with a great feature that allows you to keep moving. Off & Go allows you to unplug the projector without waiting for the projector to cool down. A built-in circuit allows the cooling fan to continue running even when the power is cut.

The Password Authentication System restricts unauthorized use of the projector. Once a password has been set, the projector cannot be used without it. In addition the VPL-CX80 has quiet operation, direct power on/off, a high altitude mode, installation flexability with low maintenace and is equipped with a horizontal keystone correction function, for off axis use, if neccessary.
