I've had these for a year now and while overall they are good, they have a particularly annoying defect. They always report 100% battery right up until the battery dies and they turn off. Once the battery is dead it will report 100% again after charging for a few seconds. You just can't rely on what it says, you need to guess the battery level and the battery life is nowhere near the claimed 30 hours, it's closer to 10.

I bought the WH-1000XM2 headphone in 2017 December 17th from Amazon. After 1 years and four months gentally usage, both of my bands were cracked. I really doubt this product's reliability is good as Bose QC35 level product!!!

Have problems with reconnecting the Bluetooth after the initial setup. As soon as it is powered off , it will not reconnect automatically. It has to be manually reconnected. Tried this on a Samsung TV and two different Bluetooth transmitting devices .Also tried resetting the headset. I wonder if the 100MXM3 has the same problem. Support is no help.

When I first received the headphones, I confess I was a bit intimidated. But, once I began, everything worked correctly the first time, no problem whatsoever. I don't have a portable phone; I intended them for use with my iPod 7th Generation (software version 13.4.1). I made sure Bluetooth was enabled in Settings. My iPod said I needed an app. I clicked on the app, it loaded in a few seconds. I entered my password, and that was it. My iPod and the Sony headphones began working perfectly. The instructions said they phones should work within 10 meters of the iPod. Just as a test, I left the iPod in my living room, went outside and walked across the street to my neighbors., a distance of about 30 meters I never heard a blip in the music at any time, nor have shown any problem with my Wi-Fi, even when I stand next to the router. To say that I am pleased with these headphones is a great understatement. I couldn't possibly be happier with them.

I was looking for Noise Cancelling earphones. I have tinnitus and wear hearing aids, had as main concern overall comfort, and battery life as I fly frequently. I am impressed with the ease of use. I bought two sets, one also for my wife who is blown away with the sound fidelity.

The headphone are truly amazing, they do exactly what they adveertise and sound great, thje noise canceling is also great as it let you get some peace and quiet, for all they parents, you'll love this product. Just another example of a great sony product. There is just one thing, this might not be for all but my headphone have being acting up lately with it producing extreemly werid noises, and the noises canceling has also stopped working. Sadly my warrantly alreasy ran out so I had to try to get them repaired, the lady I talked was very kind but she said she couldnt help me and that I would have to get new headphone as they are not able to be repaired. Unfortuantly as much as I would like too I cannoot purchase new headphones. When they worked they were the greatest thing since sliced bread!

Initially elated with my purchase — I couldn't hear a thing, while doing my homework. After approximately six months or so, the noise cancelling function stopped working almost altogether. I'll be in my office with the door closed and my headphones on, and I can hear my dog snoring in the other room. Super disappointed for such expensive headphones, I regret giving Sony a chance and not going with the other competitor, which is a shame because Sony usually has quality products. Then there was another update recently, that prevents users from using the hands-free calling.

This product is easily the best sounding headphones out of all the different brands I've had from bose to skullcandy when it comes to everyday use. However, if you sweat a lot or use this in an area that is humid enough to make sweat through your ears excessively it might distrupt bluetooth connections. I might have to return my original pair or contact sony to figure out this issue. Other than that these things are amazing.

The headphones while in use was amazing! They adapted, easy to use and the control on the headphones were heavily updated compared to the 2017 version. They decided to not boot up even after charging. I thought I didn’t plug them in properly, but alas after 3 days of trying to charge it will not turn on.

The headphone turns off on its own even when fully charged. Have to constantly turn the headphones back on and it turns off again. Very frustrating.

I bought these in America, and as I live in Denmark I can't go back to the store I purchased at. The headphones broke for me the first time I wore them in a light rain. Now they refuse to turn on. The noise canceling and battery life were great, but the craftsmanship on the device is exceedingly poor. I can't imagine using these in a more rainy climate like Seattle. I'd give 0 stars if I could, given how expensive these headphones are.

I had read the reviews of the Sony WH-1000XM2 about the infamous breaking headband. I foolishly thought these people were probably just rough on them. I was wrong. In about 6 months the right side broke by the swivel and the left is cracked! I contacted an agent via Sony's chatline and he actually had the gaul to state that there hadn't been a reported issue with breakage. I don't like dishonesty. Either the guy was out-and-out lying or Sony is keeping their records hush-hush. I've always been a loyal Sony customer and was extremely happy with the features of the XM2 except the right touch control wasn't always accurate. My opinion of Sony has definitely changed for the worse. They have not corrected an obvious issue and opt to stick to cheap plastic and/or design. It's also annoying that I can't listen while charging.

I purchased these headphones primarily for use in airplanes to replace an older pair of Sony headphones. The new headphones are very comfortable and were excellent for my recent flights. I have not tried the blue tooth mode yet. Also like the smaller carrying case primarily because the headphones fold up. Also the built in battery means no need to carry batteries.

paired with IPad and LG phone the sound is amazing. The noise canceling feature is impressive. Touch sensitive swipes/gestures on right earmuff is easier than trying to locate buttons. No regrets, these are nice.!

I needed noise-canceling headphones for airplane travel because I couldn’t hear a thing with my in-ear ones my last flight. Just wearing these in the house blocks all sounds, even snapping my fingers. I am anxious to enjoy music and movies while traveling!
