Had not quite 2 years and the screen when viewing a white screen is purple blue spotty, disappointing, not a burn it, it's a LED I believe otherwise it works and looks great, most noticeable when watching hockey

No issues other then the holes in the back for mounting was too close together. Had to modify my TV stand to accommodate hanging the TV.

Absolutely love this TV makes Alexa integration easy! Picture quality is amazing! Only issue I’ve had with it is the purple patches on the screen... I believe LEDs are starting to give out. TV is only 33 months removed from purchase.

There is a problem with the lighting. When there is a dark scene in a movie, the tv lights up, when there is a vibrant bright scene the tv dims down to adjust. The tv keeps going back and forth between lighting up and dimming down. Terrible design choice as there is no way to turn it off.

I’ve always been a fan of Samsung TVs until I came across a bundle deal and decided to try Sony. Best purchase I have made ever! Picture quality is amazing. It’s slim, Modern, clean design makes the TV effortlessly stylish and the center of the living room. I bought the TV with the Sony sound bar and I LOvE everything about them. Quick and easy set up, and both were so easy to program with my Xfinity Comcast control, which is a PLUS since I only have to use 1 control for everything.

Bought this a month ago. It has a great picture and sound. Bought it specifically for Smart and Bluetooth but the BT doesn't seem to work well on its own. It won't connect to any of my BT speakers or headphones without the use of an adapter. Although the software says it has a voice option for the remote I can't get the voice on the remote to connect. Lastly I can't get my Google Home to control the device either. In all fairness I haven't called Sony to see what they would suggest or if I am doing anything wrong. It would be an awesome TV if the features would work as expected.

After owning the TV for a little over a year, the remote control stopped working. When I contacted customer support they advised that I would have to purchase a replacement remote, which has been challenging to find. I expected a higher build quality with the Sony name and believe their competition will overtake them if the quality of their products declines any further.

We have lots of Sony devices and so we have a variety of devices to connect to our TV and admittedly some are 'legacy' devices. The specifications read '2 composite, 1 component' but unfortunately, 1 composite is 'shared' with the component inputs and the other composite input requires a special cable 'not included'. Edited [Since Sony won't release my post with money mentioned, all I can say is they are cheap when they won't provide the little cable I need!!] AND, correct the specifications to notate 1 component +1 composite OR 2 composite - that's pretty simple isn't it!!? Don't advertise it as having 3 inputs when 2 have to be shared and the third one requires a special cable not included!! Since Sony decided not release my original post I am swearing off Sony. Good product, terrible company.

The TV has many bugs in the software and runs rather sluggish a lot of the time. You need a hard wired connection to stream any 4K content. Our HDMI ports are becoming inoperative.

I've owned this tv for about six months with no complaints. It was a very good value for the money. While there are televisions with better pictures, for the money, you can't beat this Sony. The 4k her programming is gorgeous. Sony has treated me well over the years.

We bought this TV in March of 2017 after doing much research online and in stores. I am very satisfied with my purchase, confident that I chose the brand with the best reliability and quality in electronics. Since it seems to be a given that speakers on a flat-screen TV are not of great quality, I won't bother to rate the sound on this device. Knowing this beforehand, I purchased a sound bar at the same time, and am glad I did. The size of the TV was perfect for the corner of my living. We sit about 11 feet away from the screen and are able to see everything clearly. We have a very large picture window opposite the TV, and the light has only minimal glare for this screen, which was a major factor in our decision to purchase it. However, that being said, we do close the blinds often because the screen tends towards being dark. This is especially noticeable when a scene is a particularly dark scene (e.g. dimly lit, night scene, etc.) We have multiple lamps around the room, and just as with the window, there is very little glare from these. The picture quality is phenomenal! Though I say that with the caveat that most connected devices can't actually offer the same quality of picture that the TV can accept. Still, when going from analog tube TV to this device (this is my first flat-screen TV), anything at all is a major upgrade! :-) The apps that came with the TV suit our needs. We mainly use 3 of them (Amazon, Netflix, YouTube). There are 4 HDMI inputs, and we use 3 of them - Blu-ray player, Wii game console, and the sound bar. The 4th has a cable attached, and it's used only when friends bring their gaming system to play. It does have composite input which we utilize for our VCR. The built-in TV tuner works well, though we rarely make use of it. It does have ethernet cable connection, which I opted to use over the wifi, as it ensures a consistent, interference-free connection. Its system has undergone 2 updates since its purchase. The most recent seems to have been the ability to connect blue-tooth headsets to the TV. I haven't made use of this feature, but would like to in the future. The remote that came with the TV was the basic model. There is a voice-responsive version on the market. It's my opinion that this would be the better of the 2 since typing using the basic remote is a bit cumbersome. I do have a blue-tooth keyboard paired with the TV, which works well for typing; but in order to save battery power, I keep it turned off. So, it's not as convenient to use as I'd like since I have to turn on the keyboard and wait for it to pair with the TV in order to use it for a brief period. Overall, it has been a great purchase! I'm hoping to get more years of use out of it than the general expectation is for electronics these days. I want to really get my money's worth out of this TV.

Owned mine for a few weeks. Things I like: Size, stand, thin (for price), audio (for a tv), Chromecast when it works. Things I don't like: -Watching some animation (cartoons) looked really jumpy. -No where on the TV did it say that the Bluetooth function was only for mouse or keyboard. Spent a while trying to figure out why my smart phone didn't work over Bluetooth. -Chromecast did NOT work most of the time until I did some update on the TV and so far it's working OK. sometimes it takes way too long to connect to phones. I have 250Mbps internet too so it's not my wifi. -The TV is just an Android phone but huge. It tries to make you use all these apps on the TV. It doesn't even keep the ones you actually use near the beginning of the line of them. It's really annoying. If you don't have a cable box hooked up to it then have fun dealing with all these ads for movies and such that you cant use or will have to pay for. -Things going across the screen isn't as smooth as I expected. My Bluray movies don't even play that smooth on the TV. -Android system hard to understand. Seems like settings are in multiple places and don't have much description to them. Example: Bluetooth, screen mirroring, why it keeps asking me to "connect" my tv. probably because I don't use a cable box. Overall... Decent TV, but the fact the built in Chromecast isn't as smooth and easy to use as I've seen actual Chromecast sticks, and some things watched on the TV aren't that smooth are the down side.
Great C.

We have only had the TV for 3 weeks (had a Sony rear projection TV that we finally replaced), but love the quality of the picture. At times, it looks like your watching in 3D. The sound is adequate, but we will probably add a sound bar in the near future. We paid a little more for the Sony, but I think you get what you pay for.

so far this TV has lived up to expectations. Sony seems to have the edge on picture quality anyway. the remote control is easy to navigate and the set even has an optional headphone out which allows me to use my favorite old tech speakers.

FEATURES
The world of 4K right in front of you - Take your viewing into an exciting new era. 4K images contain over 8 million individual pixels - that's four times more detail than Full HD. Immerse yourself in 4K movies and dramas from a huge choice of 4K content today. And since the new 4K BRAVIA series is also compatible with future 4K standards, you are ready for any new changes too.
4K X-Reality PRO: enhance every picture up to 4K - Discover a thrilling world of extraordinary clarity. Every single pixel is enhanced beautifully by Sony's most powerful 4K picture processing technology ever. Individual parts of each scene are analyzed and matched with a special image database that independently addresses texture, contrast, color, and edges. The difference is clear with supremely lifelike detail, whatever you're watching.
Motionflow XR keeps the action smooth - Enjoy smooth and sharp details even in fast-moving sequences with Motionflow XR. This innovative technology creates and inserts extra frames between the original ones. It compares key visual factors on successive frames, then calculates the split second of missing action in the sequences. Some models also include black-frame insertion for a blur-free and truly cinematic look.
BRAVIA meets Android TV - Your smart TV just got smarter. Think of all the stuff you love doing on your smartphone or tablet, now on the big, beautiful BRAVIA screen. All-new Sony's Android TV lets you connect and enjoy any content, from apps to movies, between different Android devices - the simplest and easiest way ever.
Slim design for easier wall mounting - Slimline styling blends effortlessly into a lounge, enabling easier mounting on a wall. The screen has a narrow frame, accented with aluminum and minimal bezels, so you can focus on your entertainment with near edge-to-edge pictures. It's an ideal blend of form and function for an immersive entertainment experience.
Google Cast: Plays nice with your other devices - BRAVIA is Google Cast ready so you can easily cast your favorite entertainment like YouTube from your personal device on to the stunning BRAVIA screen. You can cast from Android, iOS, or your laptop.
Google Play: A world of content and apps - Discover movies and TV shows, games, and much more from Google Play. Enjoy a huge and ever-growing choice of apps on your TV in a brand new way.
Say what you want to see with voice search - Spend less time browsing, and more time watching. Voice search on Android TV provides you with the power of Google search, allowing you to find content across different services without the hassle of time-consuming text entry. You can also get recommendations; asking for "romantic comedies," for example, brings up a list of suitable options.
DSEE restores detail to your digital music - Low-resolution Internet video, catch-up TV and other heavily compressed audio files don't always sound so great. A large amount of information gets thrown away when digital audio is compressed. With Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE) technology, lost frequency components (especially high frequencies) are restored for natural sound with a more spacious feel.
Cinematic S-Force Front Surround - Enjoy an immersive soundstage that pulls you into the heart of the action. S-Force Front Surround mimics the way the brain correlates sound sources to create proper volume, time lag, and sound wave spectrum - using only left and right speaker channels. By naturally emulating three-dimensional sound fields, you'll enjoy rich, high-fidelity audio across a wider listening area.
Content Bar: find everything fast - The unobtrusive content bar quickly lets you find the movie, TV show, or video you're looking for. Call up the Content bar and you can keep watching, while you scan through live TV, on demand, downloaded TV shows, and much more. You can even customize the content bar to show you the content you go to most often first.
Clear Phase for smooth, balanced frequencies - BRAVIA uses a powerful computer model to analyze and compensate for inaccuracies in speaker response. It does this by "sampling" the speaker frequency with higher precision. This information is fed back to cancel out any peaks or dips in the speaker's natural response resulting in pure, natural audio with smooth, even reproduction of all frequencies.
Stream PlayStation games straight to your TV - Play selected PlayStation 3 games directly through your TV or Blu-ray player, no console required. Get your first glimpse of PlayStation Now, bringing streaming technology to the immersive world of PlayStation gaming. Just pair a DUALSHOCK 4 controller with the TV and you're ready to play with the same speed and responsiveness as a console.
Made to listen: ClearAudio+ - Make your listening as lifelike as your viewing. ClearAudio+ fine-tunes TV sound for an immersive experience that seems to surround you. Hear music, dialog, and surround effects with greater clarity and separation, whatever you're watching.
Enrich your viewing with the TV SideView app - Find, record, and talk about your favorite TV shows using the TV SideView app. Use your tablet or smartphone (Android or iOS) to see the latest TV schedule as well as view the most popular programs currently trending. Once you've found what you want to watch, you can set an alarm so you never miss the shows you love. Live tweet your reactions and see what other viewers are saying.
