Cons: I have apps that no longer work on my TV, my tv disconnects to the internet daily and everytime you turn the tv off the next time you use it you have to restart it. Remotes voice feature never worked from day 1. Remote is spotty on working. Pros: Excellent picture, lots of apps on the play store, sound is better than most tvs without a soundbar, lots of options for adding a sound system.

I bought this TV for a home office\man cave. It's features are perfect for viewing photos and it's Wi-Fi allows me to cut the cord and view my own choices.

The picture is great, as Sony monitors usually provide. But the functions need work, they could be better. The timer options are limited and don’t always work correctly. And the worse thing is it doesn’t have an actual power on button on the monitor, so you have no choice but to use the remote, surprised by that design decision. And the remote isn’t great, should be redesigned for better usage. This particular model is disappointing considering the usual quality of Sony TVs, but if the control options could be corrected then it’d be a totally great buy.

This 4K HDTV has an excellent picture and plenty of HDMI inputs (4) for all components. There are several picture adjustments to choose from for your preferred viewing option. You can also set up your own picture adjustments. We mostly use the Cinema Pro picture setting, colors are vibrant and true, blacks and grays are spot-on. The 1080i/1080P/4K signal performance and streaming is great and with the auto 4K/HDR upscaling for programs via TV antenna and streaming provides excellent pciture quality. The TV guide via outdoor antenna also provides up to date programming information. Motion flow for sports and action movies are smooth, with no hesitation or blur. The only cons would be the standard TV speaker sound quality, which is average, like most newer LED TV's, and that is takes a good 10 seconds or so to turn the TV on and boot up. Other than that, no real issues after having this TV for 16 months. We're very pleased with this 4K HDTV purchase.

I bought the tv 18months back and out of no where one day the screen started showing lines and duplication of image. we were told that the panel was faulty and that we have to replace it which would cost almost of that of buying a new tv. It is really disappointing that a tv would last only this long. Will not recommend to buy the product.

I have all NEW (within last two years) Sony equipment- Bravia 850D, Sony 2800ES receiver and a sony blueray player. I am CONSTANTLY having handshake problems between them, and yet that is precisely why I purchased ALL Sony. Great products when I can see them, but to regularly I have to work HDMI ports to get it run. Very aggravating.

I have it for almost a year and is disappointing how Sony can make such a bad tv...It looks great on the wall but once you start it brace yourselves because a world of problems is on its way! At least once a week the tv freezes and then reboots by itself witch is annoying but i can live with it, what i can't live without is the tv not connecting to the internet!! No internet means no Netflix or youtube...sometimes it takes some minutes to connect other times it doesn't connect at all!! Makes no sense..one day it works and the following day it doesn't. I forgot to mention that you also can't pair your Bose bluetooth headphones with it. I'm done with the tv. Going to give it away. I don't need this frustrations in my life! P.S - yes, in the picture there's a white spot in the tv, guess what!?! i threw my remote on the floor because of my frustrations and not being able to watch tv and something bounced into the tv! Great!!! it's bad but at least now i have an excuse to buy another one. Bye bye Sony. It wasn't a pleasure.

I bought this television in August of 2017, and have been extremely happy. I use multiple game consoles, computer, and Roku. The 4 HDMI inputs keep me from having to change cords to accommodate these devices. Sharing from other devices is simple. Overall an excellent TV that will be useful foryears to come.

I bought it in 2016, Requires constant reboots because cast is not working or it lost connectivity to internet. 4k HDR (netflix 4k for example) is bad as the variation in screen back light (edge dimming ) is huge for the same scene. I bought sony noise cancelling bluetooth headphones and they are not supported by this high end sony tv. Very disappointing, sony!!! Samsung TVs support Bluetooth headsets. I should have gone with Samsung!!

The image is truly excellent. The interface is rather well laid out on the home screen. The remote control lag however can be rather frustrating. I’m not the most impatient person, but to some degree, when my television that cost one eighth the price responds quicker, it can be a bit disappointing. It can take several seconds for the tv to mirror what I am trying to do on the remote. Although this tv is not top of the line, it costs quite a bit when compared to a Hisense tv which is $900 cheaper for the same size tv. I’ve had both brands and although this tv’s remote is truly garbage in comparison, it’s picture is by far more pleasing. I am very happy with the quality of the image. If you could fix the remote issue, I would give a 5 star rating a hundred times over.

I love the picture quality, especially on 4K. But, the menus and other OS related features are slow. Also, the latest firmware update broke the Dolby processing which created a loud beeping noise when switching to the cable TV source on my Tivo. Had to turn off Dolby until its fixed.

Great TV, great features to have, but overall user experience sucks with this TV. It would crash a few minutes after boot up. Tried to reset/reinstalling the TV software, but it would still crash. At one time, TV would have a line of stuck pixels across the TV on any inputs, any channels. For it to go away, I had to restart, but to do this, you have to navigate to a specific setting to restart - not by powering down, powering on! There was one time the picture settings went out of wack, and I had extremely hard time reverting back to the way it was. I have 2015 model, bought in November 2016. Hulu app is not up to date as of present date. Have this TV been obsoleted already? When opening home page of AndroidTV on X850D, it would take a while, slow response. Slow to change inputs. From time to time, apps would crash. Overall user experience sucks with X850D.

This TV is one of the best I have purchased. We almost to a year since purchasing this TV & have decided to purchase the XBR-43X800E as well to replace an outdated TV. This TV is our first smart tv purchase & now will not go purchase anything less. Although this model is probably no longer available for purchase the Sony Brand I would recommend to anyone. The one fallback is the newest update changed the look of all setting design location & look & now must learn where all the settings are again.

This TV was not what was promised look grainy once I brought home didn't think much of it said it did well in all lighting not true it was horrible in the dark and a year later it's only gotten worse with clouding stay away from this TV

I bought the tv in May of 2017 (I also bought another one for a sales contest I ran). It's my third XBR in 30 years. The first tv was recycled recently, and it was still operational. The 2nd tv (40"XBR was purchased 13 years ago, and only lasted 3 years. I decided to give Sony another try after 10 years of other models. I must say the picture quality is awesome, however I am starting to have issues with the tv shutting itself off. Sometimes it restarts on its own, other times it needs to be turned restarted. Other than this issue, great tv!

We bought this tv black Friday 2016, December 17 2017 screen went black, called for service determined the panel is bad. Past warranty by 22 days, phone support referred us to online chat, would not assist, site down. Thought we were buying a premium product, obviously not.
