SONY TVs is not powering ON, paid 1799.88 few years back. try to check support team whether they can help me, as default warranty is only one year. Now i have to buy new tv after spending so much of money, its not worth it, please dont buy sony tv.

SONY needs to wake up before there is a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT.
The issue with these TV's is well known to them. No argument about servicing mine BUT have been waiting OVER a month for the SPRCIAL ORDER PART!! COME ON.. Over $2,000 and they cant make it right with their customers???

Seriously! BAD...

The in-TV picture is superb after calibration, however anything being fed in through HDMI has never looked great due to color issues. I state this after hours of work on calibration that worked in-TV but not through HDMI. Having two remotes for this TV that work very different from each other is a problem. There should be one integrated remote. I do appreciate ARC and HDMI control. Those work well. I also like that Android is being used however the processor is slow.

Exchanged this TV from an LG, pictures don't compare. Sony is the way to go.

Wonderful picture

We bought the tv a little over a month ago. We like to use YouTubeTV. Not sure why the tv doesn't respond well with it. We have spoken with Sony and the guy at Nebraska Furniture Mart. Neither suggestion has helped.

Not Sure About It

I bought this when it come out, never had an issue with it. The only problem I have is, how slow Sony is at updating the firmware.

Third Times the Charm

I bought this a couple of years ago and I’m really happy with it. That said, my next TV will be a Samsung again. I prefer the brighter colors. They say Sony produces more “real” color, I prefer the vivid colors of Samsung.

I purchased this TV brand new for a large amount of money and within weeks it was already messing up. 6 months in, it started randomly going black screen with volume. It stopped for a while and now is on black screen 95% of the time no matter how many times I reset and which method I reset. I will never buy Sony again.

and constantly shutting down, gives various error messages, remote is buggy, guide is multiplying channels and unresponsive, was great for a while and then started to have problems, restart, reset to default settings etc, nothing work

One year old and constantly giving errors

Both this TV in October 2015. always loved Sony because I have several Sony products. I must honestly say, it has not lived up to its promise. The TV seems to have a mind of its own. It shuts off in the middle of an event and restarts.In addition, it does not immediately respond to commands, even after buying a replacement remote. I find it very sloggist. I really will like to replace but I guess my warranty might be up by now.

Sony is the best!

We don't usually impulse buy, but this sold us the minute we saw it. Phenomenal depth of color, fabulous 3D depth and great up-scaling of our Bluray CDs. Love that it syncs with our Sony BDP so only one remote is necessary. Also, the remote is user friendly and the apps are great.

Wow! Just, WOW!!!

I just installed the XBR65X850C. i looked online and can't find the screen refresh rate. It says Motionflow 960 but that is meaningless.
Other than that it looks OK.
Reds are a little too blooming but if you turn the color down a bit
it's ok.

Great TV with great picture. My only complaint is the 3D requires active 3D glasses instead of the passive glasses like used at the movie theater. Otherwise awesome TV.

Great picture

I purchased this TV for my Dad who has been watching a Sony 55" DLP for many many years. It was finally time to upgrade and what an upgrade it is. The picture, brightness, and colors are outstanding. The touchpad remote makes it possible to search for your favorite youtube videos by speaking into the remote. The technology is amazing and very accurate. The bezel is very thin as is the TV's depth. We threw it up on a wall bracket in minutes. We always fought with glare on the DLP. Glare is a thing of the past now even in a room that's full of windows and doors. Baseball games come to life on this beast. Helmets shine, white uniforms are crisp and the green grass pops out at you. I have a Sony 40" W-Series at home that I will probably move to the bedroom to make room for one of these in my living room. It's definitely a show-stopper!

Wow!

The set up that I am running is Wall Mounted TV, Denon AVR-X4100W receiver, 50' Cable running in wall between the two, using the HDMI ARC plug on the TV and Denon.
I made my decision on this TV after so may "mixed" reviews. The previous TV that I had bit the dust, It was a 7 year old 52" Samsung HD LCD, thought it should have lasted longer.
The picture on this thing is amassing, I have a Dish Network satellite, and the up scale looks pretty good, what is amazing is to watch a YouTube 4K demo video, that really make this TV shine.
I have not had any of the operating issues others have mentioned about the Android System, I am connected to the internet via cable (Comcast) standard connection.
The set up was straight forward and just followed the on screen directions, it went thru a firmware update and did take about 60 minuets,
The HDMI ARC connection works flawless, and it was plug and play. I have not toyed to much with the picture settings as this looked pretty good to me out of the box, I do appreciate other reviewers giving some of the settings that they are using and may try them.
I had considered a Samsung but with the boat anchor i just took off my wall, i was not so sure about their reliability. So far I am a happy customer.

Why would you do this to us SONY. No 3D glasses. C-MON. I have a family of 4. Superior TV. Awesome picture. Awesome features. This tv is just great. Just received it. Already love it. But how do You explain no glasses. People will buy a different brand because of this. Please rectify this problem.

Clear picture with vivid colors and excellent black levels.
4k upconversion is very good ,even better when playing bluray content.
When 4K blurays finally arrive on the market I would think this Sony will then be able to display the best picture available!

Stunning picture

Picture is awesome. Netflix 4K looks better than thru the 4K media player I needed for my old Sony 4K set.

However, I upgraded because this website said Amazon 4K streaming was available and it is also Directv 4K ready. Neither is true. I hope these are added soon.

SO FAR EXCELLENT PIC. BOUGHT FROM SONY ONLINE STORE BEFORE PRICE WENT BACK UP. WEEK LATER THEY LOWERED IT ANOTHER $100. DO AGREE WITH OTHERS THEY COULD HAVE AT LEAST PACKED 1 PAIR OF GLASSES SO YOU KNOW THEY WERE COMPATIBLE.
