About Sony XDCU-50

The Sony XDCU-50 HD Camera Extension Unit allows XDCAM Ex camcorders to be configured for studio operation. Used in conjunction with an optional remote controller, two BNC cables and either the XDCA-53 or XDCA-55 camera adapter - depending on choice of camera - the XDCU-50 controls the camera's parameters and enables an affordable recording and long-distance transmission system. This brings increased versatility to productions by allowing for either standalone or multi-camera operation of the PMW-Ex3, PMW-320/350 and PMW-500.
