Bought new in box, never opened. Set up was easy from my existing Xperia phone. Took some fantastic photos. First overnight charge. - DEAD! Sent to Sony Service Centre - didn't honour warranty. Can't fix it -beyond economic repair - main board fried. Returned to retailer. Disaster...

Ist & foremost, Sony continues to produce mobile telephones that frequently put its rivals in 2nd & 3rd place. In terms of build quality and phone usability, the Sony Xperia is unimpeachable. That, coupled with Android OS has created a Sony as the world leader in voice-with-image handling systems.

I purchased the phone a year ago and I am very much happy with the purchase. Aside from the obvious uses of a mobile device (calls and texts) I used the phone for Photography, Music, Movies/Series streaming and casual gaming. Photography: Based on my experience, taking pictures using the Xperia Pro-I is quite delightful. The Photo Pro-app brings the experience really close to what it would feel like to shoot using one of the Alpha cameras. I really love the way that Sony has bring in the feel into the app giving a Photographer control over ISO, Sutter Speed, Color balancing, burst shotting as well as actually including a mechanical F-Stop for the main camera is just impressive. Not forgetting to mention that the main camera has a 1" censor in it is just jaw-dropping. When you want to capture a spare of the moment picture, there are the Basic and Auto mode which will take care of the settings for the photographer. all you have to do is just focus on making sure everything you want to capture falls in place. My absolute favorite feature of the phone is definitely the dedicated Shutter button, bringing the experience to using an actual camera much closer (please Sony, never get ready of that dedicated shutter button). Music listening is a very rich experience. The rich and crisp sound makes you feel as if you are there with the artist in the studio. Watching movies/shows is just as rich of an experience as actually being at the movie theater. My second favorite feature of the Pro-I is the display. 4k display and 21:9 Wide aspect ratio (please Sony, never give this feature up either) gives the streaming experience a more cinematographic feel, the way it should be, rather feeling like watching something inside a box on one of those 4:3. As mentioned earlier, I am just a casual player, nothing too crazy. The graphics are really good. I usually play Magic the Gathering Virtual Arena. The Pero-I holds up really nicely to the special graphics and the online experience. There are way more features to share but I believe this post is long enough. In short, the Xperia Pro-I rocks!

I'm thrilled to have a non-commercial phone that focuses on media creation, featuring professional photography, an exceptional 21:9 display, and high-quality materials. I really really hope to see this line continue in the future.

Got this phone after a review that failed to mention the phone is old from a few years ago and no longer gets any updates. The phone gets REALLY hot when using it, especially the camera. The signal reception is REALLY bad. I rarely get 5G LTE signal let alone more than 2 bars of 5G signal so everything loads slowly or not at all.

Love it so far just worried sometimes about damaging the lens I can't find a decent phone case for it and it does get warm pretty fast when playing a game or on YouTube

I upgraded to this phone from a Xperia V5 lll as the phone looks fantastic with all those apps installed plus a 500g installed memory fitted in with my life. I have had the phone now for a just over a year now and it has been a very good friend able to sort most issues using support that comes with the phone. My only criticism is the battery needs to be bigger simular to the Xperia 10 lll that would be a good move, I love the way I can link it to my camera as a view finder works great for me, Music sounds are awesome using my WH-1000XM5 headphones connection is a sinch and I'm not a tech savvy at 67 there must loads more that I haven't discovered yet. Looking forward to discovering them.

Purchased the Xperia PRO-I after my mobile phone of nearly 5 years finally gave up on me recently. I am super impressed with the whole phone in general from design to usability. The only thing missing, in my opinion, is WiFi Calling and NFC shortcuts (to quickly turn NFC on and off within the pulldown shortcuts menu) however these things may just be a software limitation of the version I have on my Xperia PRO-I. Software updates over 2 years would be amazing if Sony had to improve on keeping hold of their customers for longer. Apart from that, all is excellent.

The only issues I ever have with it I think are purely my own. I wasn't vigilant and I think there is some kind of points system exploiting my information. The phone will automatically scan and connect to wifi. Unfortunately I did not turn this off before I was aware of it and it connected to my work's open wifi. Now whenever I try to do a hard reset, Africans straight up swarm my location. Legitimately people from the continent of Africa. I don't know its countries well enough to say from which one. But I've lived in Atlanta all my life. I know Americans. I know African Americans. I know Africans, Yankees, etc. People showing up with their "new" never before seen selves on the scene. Also the equalizer is not at all on par with what Sony Xperia's were even 5 or 7 years ago. Definitely not even close to Samsung's . You can download equalizers off the google play store but whatever software is on the phone is constantly trying to take over and everything sounds terrible. Its like Sony wants you to here everything real crisp. The issue I think I am having the most is with a Bluetooth connection in my car that does not happen with any other phone, but its like it tries to listen and then adjust the sound on its own, but there is a delay and I don't think its being compensated for and it is extremely aggravating. I honestly can not even use the phone in my car. Its trash. Personally I want to here things a certain way. I can manipulate the different frequencies in an even 10 band equalizer and get the reverb. Yes there are several audio settings and there is even a dolby equalizer but it maxes everything at 5 and you really can not tell the difference. I think its just there to let people feel like they are masters of thier world. Bottom line; the phone just aint having it. You can either take the sound quality it will adjust and control for you which is just flat semi ok not even fm radio quality or listen to the rado. Maybe Sony is trying to do the Apple thing where everything you have has to be Sony for it to be enjoyed at its full potential. Which is kind of sad because I really pumped up Sony to be better than the samsungs I've had. Now somehow with all the raw capability this phone has its being forced to be less than what it is. The camera app is pretty cool and yes it is unparalleled in its capability. A lot of people say the AI isn't up to square with other manufacturers but that isn't true. Do your homework and if you set the aspect ratio to match google and samsung, it is just as clear in basic mode. Again I got people, xgirl friends and of course their obsessors* so my personal issues with this phone I fully contribute to people who can't get past me. Personally I don't like cake. But if I am going to buy one, why would I not eat it too?

I've Had the phone for 17 months, and everything has been fine. The camera is brilliant for both photos and video. In fact, the only thing wrong with it is that three weeks ago the fingerprint sensor stopped working, and the fingerprint manager disappeared and so did the service menu.

Using this phone brings me great joy in everyday use that I haven't felt since my Xperia XZ Premium, two phones ago. I've used the point and shoot features of this new camera and they produce superb snapshots and videos effortlessly. The dedicated shutter button is great! Being a recent purchase, i am also anxious to learn about the manual camera modes, and the supporting software products for producing photos and videos that are included. Android 13 on this phone has been very smooth and represents a nice update from 12. I checked with my (3 letter) carrier and learned it is compatible with their network before purchasing, and report no problems with getting connected. I have had some really fast connections where the tower is close and unloaded - between 140 and 225 Mbps - although they typically run between 10 and 30 Mbps. Being a big fan of local and replaceable storage, have a 1TB micro-SD card in it - spacious and speedy. I found a couple different cases to protect it and they work well. I choose to protect the camera, as it seem vulnerable. The stereo speakers are excellent and are a big step above all other phones for sound field and range - the only complaint being I wish they could be louder. I greatly appreciate the courage Sony displays to provide a headphone jack, and the excellent sound hardware the drives it. I have many headsets and buds and this one drives 'em all. The fingerprint sensor works perfectly and is well positioned on the power button. Overall, the hardware on this phone shows above average design, solid feel, and it works great. I will have this phone for a long time. I've disabled the social media and gamey apps that I don't use. This to minimize battery and data use. After a few charge cycles and moderate camera use, I have been very satisfied with the battery life - today is going on 18 hours long and I still have 40% of the battery left. When I moved my data to this phone from my last one, I used a USB C to USB C cable and the Android 13 transfer app in the settings - it was reasonably fast and pretty complete, but the phone did get hot. Moving the old data over has been my only experience with it getting hot. Although I bought this for the over-the-top camera, I'll be taking a look at the Xperia 5 and 10 models to see how they compare. In my experience with my 2 Sony phones, I've liked them better than all the others and think there could be more of them out there if more people knew of them. Everyone with a Sony TV, game console, headphones, camera, robot or clock radio should know about Sony Xperia phones.

Had it now for a month. The features are just brilliant. Primarily bought a for the camera and video features. Have been well impressed with the functionality, it doesn't fall. Phone features are really good, this has been my 4th Sony mobile phone over 10 years. Reliable and as a tip use the Microsoft launcher as it maintains smooth operation.

Had this phone as a replacement to my Sony Xperia 1. The camera is great but could be better with slightly better auto functions on the software. Although I like the fact the camera software is similar to DSLR. All round pleased with the phone as it allows for mobile gaming.

Initially the phone has a good solid high quality feel to it. The screen is nice and vibrant apart from in sunny situations where even with the screen brightness on full of was still washed out. Battery life seems good I don't really miss wireless charging as its no big deal to plug in to charge. It's nice to have a headphone jack and support for large micro sd. Camera wise as you'd expect the image and video quality are superb it would be nice if Sony had seen fit to provide a way to use nd filters rather than using some cheap solution. I've been in touch with small rig and they don't have a solution either. Apart from that very small want an all round good phone with an excellent camera

The Xperia PRO-I is essentially a professional camera that just happens to be an Android phone as well. I have had several of the, 'Sony 'HandyCam' camera's', and was looking for another upgrade to them. My old Xperia phone broke and was also out of date, so when I seen the Xperia PRO-I, and checked the specs, it covered all the bases and more, way more! I'm no professional photographer, I mean I learned how to develop photographs in a dark room years ago, but I'm no 'pro' at it. This device takes an amateur photographer like me, on the journey of gaining and learning from experience with the device itself. For a professionals it must be like a walk in the park, easy and familiar ground. I would recommend this device to anyone looking to replace their camera, video camera and phone all in one go, as this ticks all the boxes! Excellent device all round! I got mine while on sale, it is expensive.

Truly premium device. The hardware and design of the phone is beautiful yet rugged while still being lightweight. The software is minimalistic but still includes features and updates.

Its great. I thought my cheap Camera/Phone was ok, why spend all that extra money I thought. My phone does everything an expensive phone does. Essentially my assumption was correct, however my Sony does everything so much better, clearer sound, further bluetooth range, stronger wi-fi reception, higher definition screen, and above all a camera to rival my £3600.00 DSLR, pictures I would not previously conceived as possible from a 'Mobile Phone'.

Although I could cook with it camping; the phone doesn't work the camera overheats in minutes, it gets to hot to handle or talk on during calls, the screen freeze and you have to wait for it to die before you can restart, camera comes on and phone gets extremely hot in my pocket. All in all this is absolutely garbage with a fancy camera you can't use without welding gloves.

I have this phone mainly for the photographic element of it, which I'm using more and more instead of always taking my DSLR. I also use the tripod accesory, which makes this much more effective as a compact camera. The phone is good quality and the battery life is easily a day per charge. I've had Sony Xperia phones for many years and will continue to stand by this product brand.

It's early days yet but the phone is really quite excellent. The sound quality and camera are superb. The screen resolution is fantastic and the overall usability is seamless. The phone feels like a quality product in your hand.

I got this Camera/Phone after careful thought as I already had the Sony Xperia 1III, what attracted me was the camera set up and the specs were exactly the same as the Mark. I absolutely want to watch and listen to my media in absolute quality, which this device provides, yes I've tried the camera out and like the MarkIII it's not a point and shoot camera (although you can choose basic mode for this) so a fair bit of thought process has to go into photographing subjects, for novices like mys...
