The case does not fit very tightly on an iPhone 8 Plus. There's a gap and when you grab the phone there's a noticeable clicking sound because of the gap, as the case shifts a bit. It is a sturdy case, but a bit too smooth for me. Perhaps the smoothness, slipperyness is a feature to deflect impacts on falls. Seems to me though a slippery case just encourages falls and drops.

I love this case because it's clear and you can show off the color of your phone. Or you can put pictures of your boo thing in the back to show everyone. All at the same time while protecting your phone with this amazing case

My son is 6 days away from upgrading his current phone. He dropped it just now, from about 4 feet off the ground, and and the back glass shattered. I have been a loyal SPECK case lover since the first generation iPhone and have never had any issue with many drops from higher than 4 feet. After reading negative reviews, I see that this is not an isolated incident. These new cases are suck! I will no longer be promoting and purchasing Speck products.

Nothing less than I expected from speck. Super fast delivery....quality product....fit my phone like a glove. You can't beat the professional way this company does business ! The other products I have purchased from speck have already proven themselves several times already. Guess you could say that I'm a very pleased customer. Bought the cell phone case about a month ago with a better phone protection. However after a month, the phone developed minor scratches on the hard cover part on the bottom back of the phone. It started to fall off on the back of my jean pockets. I felt the speakers part of the case needs to have more protection to prevent scratches and damaged upon dropping the phone.

I purchased and installed this case at the same time I purchased my iPhone 8 Plus. Fast forward two days, my phone took short fall to the floor. Feeling confident about Speck's "Designed for impact" and "8 feet drop tested" claim, they so proudly print on their packaging, I believed I had nothing to worry about. That was until I inspected my phone and noticed the entire back of my phone was shattered. There nothing extreme about this fall and it was no more than a 3 foot fall to the floor, many feet shorter than their assertion. THIS CASE IS A JOKE, THEIR CLAIMS ARE FALSE, THIER "LIFETIME WARRANTY" ONLY COVERS THEIR PRODUCT, AND I WILL PROUDLY STEER ANY POTENTIAL CUSTOMER (VICTIM) AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT.

This product is definitely one of my favorites! The case is very durable and has never failed to do its job. After dropping my phone many times it has never once cracked.

I give this item a one star because the look, but overall the case sucks. I got this case for Black Friday I had it on my phone for the first time and the first two weeks I dropped it once and the whole back of my phone cracked. I haven't taken the case off because I'm afraid it will fall apart. Thanks for selling over priced cheaply Made cases.

I have only just received my new clear case and I love it. I like the color of my iPhone and it's visible in the clear case besides the protection my case offers. I have always had a specks case for my iPhones in the past and the cases are still perfect.

I really like this case, however within about 5 months, the silicone edge of the case turned brown, not even yellow, brown! I love how this case feels in my hand because I prefer bulkier cases on my phone. I dropped my phone many times and it was very protective. I just wish the case stayed clear.

I love this case! I can hold it up to my ear and do a phone call without makeup getting on the sides and I can put it in my pants pocket without worry about color stains. definitely worth it.

This case is made for iPhone 6, 7, and 8. I have a 6S Plus. The case is just a tad too big, which causes squeaking when squeezed on both sides. Also, though the buttons work, it sometimes takes concentration when pushing them. Because of the large size of the case, I sometimes have to push twice, and harder, than I did with my other case. In addition, there is a shadow on the case, When I took a picture of the case, the auto-focus on the camera automatically zoomed in on this spot. It's small but, since I know it's there, it's annoying. Finally, I don't particularly like the giant opening at the back camera. As far as protection, I haven't dropped my phone, so I cannot comment on how well it protects.

Don't know why some people are saying it turns yellow after a few months... I have had my 8+ case since November and its now July and its not yellow at all. But the case itself will crack and dent after a few drops or maybe just one hard drop. Also the bottom plastic that protects the speakers and usb port will eventually crack... If you take really good care of your phone I would highly recommend but if you frequently drop it I wouldn't use this. I even had a tempered glass screen protector and it still cracked the screen!

I love speck cases and have been using them since the iphone 5. i'm okay with the yellowing as it is expected to do so, but i'm not okay with my phone shattering in the case. i've never have that happen before. the back glass panel on my phone completely shattered while using this case. so disappointing.

I bought this case for my I Phone 8 Plus and it is said that it is to offer 8 ft drop protection. My phone fell not even two feet and it shattered the front and glass backing.

I had an issue with my case getting dark on the edges, and I sent an email to Speck exactly a week ago and spoke with Mike. I just received a new case and I gotta say I'm amazed by Speck customer service and efficiency! I honestly didn't expect that a new one would be sent without any hassle and so quickly. For sure I won't look anywhere else when I need anything that is sold by Speck. Awesome customer service!

I really like this case - it looks really great on my iPhone 8+ silver phone and it does the job of keeping it protected, along with preventing dirt from getting into the back of the case and onto the phone. However, it is starting to turn yellow on the sides. I've done everything possible to prevent the yellowing from occurring. i don't put it in any pockets, I rarely put it in my purse. It just sits on table surfaces and is not really in the sun. So, I'm a little disappointed in that because now it doesn't look as good from when i first got it. I would still recommend though because it does the job of what a phone case should do.

After less than a month of owning this item, the rubbery tabs that are in the corner and cover the buttons are turning yellow. Would not suggest buying if you like a clean looking clear case.

The case was a nice clear color at first, but quickly became a yellowish brown color on the edges. I am most unhappy that the whole back of the case scratches so easily and they are very visible scratches - all from daily use. There are many more nice cases out there for similar or less money that are much more worth it.
