Speck Presidio Ultra Case for iPhone 8 plus /7 plus /6s plus /6 plus - Black/Black/Black

I bought this case when I got a new iPhone 8 Plus. In the past I had always purchased an Otter Box with a clip. But the store had this brand instead so I purchased this one. It is about a year in so far and the case is good. However in the last month the plastic has started to degrade - a small piece of the lining just fell off. Plus several other cracks have appeared and I am not sure if the case will be usable in the coming year. It has not had hard wear (eg left in the sun or dropped a lot). I am also disappointed with the clip, if you are not wearing a belt it is a hassle to clip securely. Also there is nothing covering the screen so scratches are appearing. The Speck was cheaper but I think next time I will pay up for an Otter Box. The clip was easier, it had a screen guard and it did not start to degrade after a year.

Relatively thin for a durable case, but the bumper piece broke and is cracked in multiple places just from taking the bumper on and off.

The plastic had cracked in three separate places not long after I bought it with the phone. I never dropped the phone and keep it in my pocket. The tempered glass screen protector had cracked from my pocket knife. The thing is that company sent me a new protector in five days. If I had noticed the 30 day warranty I would've bought another life proof like I had on my previous phone. Life proof has a great warranty. Not impressed at all.

I used this case everyday after about a months use the product started dry rotting I had never dropped it or placed it in water when I reported it to them they only sent me one piece back

I absolutely adore the style of case, however I think it could be more fitting. It's a little loose around the edges. Also the charging cover fell off the first day I got it, so I was kind of bummed. But all in all an amazing case. Wish I could trade it in for a case for the X.

We've purchased three cases. On all three the plug in cover has broken off. They were replaced, but same problem again. The case itself seems to be adequate. Have always used otter box. The 8+ wasn't available when we needed it.

Same as the other reviews. The outer bumper has cracked and chipped from being removed. It has flexed out now to where it doesn't fit snug. The vibrate switch also doesn't work right either. The piece that flips the switch broke off. I wanted to love this case because with my job I need heavy duty protection but hate having the bulk when I'm home or on off days so this seemed like a great answer to my problems. However that's not the case. I would buy again if maybe something could be figured out with the design to make the case more sturdy.

This is the second of this case that I've used on this phone, in the last 3-4 months; the second being a warranty replacement. Both outer cases/shells have broken for no apparent reasons. The phone has never been dropped, tweaked, twisted or abused in any manner. The "IMPACTIUM" material as they call it, is shattering like glass inside the case.

I am a long time customer of Speck cases and feel they are great. They are pretty much the only cases we buy. However, this particular case started to fall apart after 2 or 3 months. The top layer case (ultra bumper) is not a tight fit and easily flexes in and out, which then resulted in cracks forming in the case along the left and right hand sides of the ultra bumper. This cracking occurred without ever removing the case from the phone. The underlying presidio case seems fine.

I have used speck products for years and was very excited to see that came out with a case that was similar to the otter box in that it protected the front top and bottom of screen(not just a snap in) once I received my case I was very annoyed with the fact that it is two cases basically, still the normal snap in and then another flimsy plastic piece that fit over top of first case. It always pulls apart from the snap in case. The ringer switch (which you have to turn) is almost impossible to do I have to use my teeth. And within one day the rubber piece that covers that charging port fell off. Not at all what I have expected from a case that they call ultra, very cheap feeling. Keep trying speck! This case is a bit of a fail.

This case checked all the boxes for me and I was really excited about trying it out and it was perfect.... for about a week. Then the charging port cover started coming off when opening it -which I tried to overlook because I love the case so much but, after a few times of it coming off, I lost it forever. It's just not a secure system. The dial to turn vibrate on and off was awesome too... for a month - now it doesn't turn it on/off anymore. I have to remove the bumper to do it manually which is a huge pain. For me, I needed a protective case that would keep mud/dirt out of my ports/speakers while at work. Many people have suggested otter box but, I just never have liked the look. Guess I'll have to give in and just buy an otter box.

I really like this case; the protection, I believe to be very good in design, haven't dropped it to test though. The silent/volume knob is relative easy to turn on mine, but not loose. My main concern/issue is that I've removed the "Ultra Bumper" a total of 3 times since owning (around a month) and it looks like shattered glass inside. There is one crack that has come to the outside and almost spans the width of the bumper.

I bought a week ago one drop and the top left cracked. But I was glad my phone didn't break but I was disappointed that the case didn't last long. Would I buy again? maybe. I like how it has 3 layers. And the thing for the mute.

I put this on my phone last night and within a couple of hours, the cover that goes over the plug in for the charger completely fell off. Also, the little turning switch that is used to turn the sound on and off is extremely hard to turn. The rubber bumper is also slippery, which is no good for me because I tend to drop my phone a lot already. I'm sure the case probably does its job in protecting the phone when it is dropped, but i already have three issues with it that I'm not happy about.
