My MacBook Air scratches so easily. The Speck cover fits it perfectly and prevents its finish, and the computer itself from being damages if bumped or dropped.

The bottom piece fit my macbook air just fine, but the top piece was no where near close to fitting. They are sending me a new one, if this one doesn't fit I will update my review down to one star.

I have been through a bunch of MacBooks, and had Speck cases for every one, except the last one...I should have known to only buy Speck. That one cracked. You can bet I'll be buying only Specks from now on. Reliable, perfect fit, nice look and colors (although I did not see red, always easy to spot). There is only one thing that I think could be done, in another model, maybe. The case has a nice smooth finish, but I'd prefer one with a little more "tooth", as they say about paper -- meaning not totally smooth but allowing for more friction in holding it. I have only one good arm, and have to use a cane with it, so I'm holding my macBook pressed against the cane with my hand. A little extra texture (say, a pattern) would be a help. But that's just me. I deal. On the whole I give it my highest ratings, and am a loyal customer :-) I wish you further success with your fine products.

I use this product as a Mac cover that I put stickers on (since it's plan and see-through). I generally replace the cover every year or so, and I have never had a problem with any of the numerous cases I've gotten. They've never cracked, never broken, and they always come very quick after I order them. I would definitely recommend this case for anyone looking for a plain yet practical laptop case.

The case a was beautiful light pink that would have looked great on my Mac, but I ordered the wrong size and they don't carry one for the 12". But customer service was great, and they were quick to issue my refund.

I've had this case for roughly two weeks and it is already all scratched up! I haven't dropped my laptop even once, and the whole case is already scratched up and starting to show signs of discoloration. I think that for the claims that are being made about the quality of the product, and the price- it should have been more durable! I would not recommend this product to anyone. I could find cheaper cases with much more better quality.

This case looks nice but it cracks super easily, I didn't even take it on or off and it cracked in numerous places, the plastic is so thin and weak.

I bought one of these cases two years ago before the beginning of the semester and after not much time it started cracking and breaking, but I thought it was my fault and that I wasn't doing something right with it for it to be cracking so bad. I bought a new case last year right at the beginning of the fall semester and even being really careful with it, it still started cracking after just a couple of months using it only a couple times a week and I'm really disappointed. I love the case when I first get it on but it's just a waste of money since it looks terrible after just a couple of months with light usage.

I am an older woman. I take very good care of my electronics. I have never dropped the computer. This product cracks very easily. I have had mine replaced three times. This cover should be better made with more flexibility. It looks pretty, But that is all.

I was so excited to get my laptop cover but became rather disappointed after a few weeks in all the grips holding it to the computer were breaking off. As well as the fact that it will crack in the middle where you open the case from. It's super cute but I wouldn't buy for long term use.

I really enjoy this product, knowing that it is rugged and doing the protection for my computer, and attractive also. Anytime you can get protection and good looks together is a good day. We travel a lot and it is amazing how many people have no protection on their products going thru security and they get all worried about them. Also doesn't crack or get brittle in our cold weather. I've had my Speck case for 4 years. I'm a college student, so I bring my laptop basically everywhere I go. The case has recently cracked down the middle, but it's still holding on tight to my laptop! I'm honestly blown away by how great these thin cases are. I also like that they add some grip. I've seen so many students' laptops slide off desks and break because they don't have cases on them. I'm thankful for this case everyday!

I received this case as a gift after getting my MacBook. Soon after putting it on, and with minimal usage really, the case cracked on the corners and would fall off my laptop. After sending pictures, Speck kindly sent me a replacement. Unfortunately, the replacement too cracked, chipped, and started to fall off. (Note: I don't throw my laptop around, this is after normal usage on desks/my lap as a college student.)
