I bought a. second set for my sister who uses these as satellites. I love them for their versatility, flexibility and superb quality. Literally nothing speaker related that can't be done with these.

We use a Yamaha receiver in the family room with MusicCast speakers in the kitchen and the bedroom. The MusicCast app controls each unit individually or as one. This allows us to fill the entire house with quality sound. Easy to setup, easy on the ears, I love this system. #sweepstakes

I bought a pair of these to act as surround speakers due to my inability to run wires to the surround locations. Obviously I would prefer wiring like in my last house, but thanks to my house's build style and additions, running them would involve more than it's worth to me. So, these speakers looked like the perfect solution, albeit a little pricey. I knew going in that the signal would be sensitive, but it's far more sensitive than I would have imagined. The only way the line of sight could be clearer is if I put the receiver on a pedestal with nothing around it, but I still lose sound if someone walks between the receiver and speaker. The speakers also just lose the pairing with the receiver every few weeks and claim that a setting prevents them from being used as surround speakers. I know I didn't change a setting because I only launch the MusicCast app when they stop working. I'm not sure if Yamaha pushes updates with incompatible settings by default or what. I haven't used the Bluetooth interface, but if I wanted great sounding Bluetooth speakers, there are much less expensive options out there that sound just as good. The surround feature seems to be a market exclusive and should be the selling point of these speakers, but it shouldn't take maintenance to keep working. #sweepstakes

I have a 2-unit stereo setup. I use it for streaming from my Windows 11 desktop or Android phone. Media Player in Windows 11 does recognize the main unit to cast to and works fine. For some reason it does not show up in the cast list of my Pulsar music app on Android, like other devices do. When turning on the units from standby, most of the time Bluetooth does not turn on automatically. Having the Yamaha Android app to play music is silly. It should work easily with the music app of choice on Android, both with Bluetooth and Casting over WiFi. This definitely doesn't work smooth, if at all. I feel Yamaha should improve the firmware.

Using MusicCast it was very easy to set up 3 MusicCast 20 speakers. The sound it great. We use the speakers as a single set up even though they are in different rooms. Being distributed makes it seem like we have a whole house stereo system without the need for speaker wires or even a receiver to drive them. Highly recommend.

B/c of Covid delays, it took well over a year for me to get these speakers. No one - not Crutchfield, not B&H, not Amazon - had them. I looked at several different solutions to get rear surround for my living room but no matter what, wireless was always the best, least expensive solution. And these Musiccast speakers were the only ones that did it well and minimized the "hillbilly hacker feel" of the solution. Very glad I waited. The work GREAT as surrounds and augment the music listening experience. One thing I wish was better - and this is a fault of the receiver, not the speakers - but I wish my Yamaha RX-V6A receiver would measure and balance sound in more than one location.

Good product that was hard to find. Waited over a year to find a pair. Look good and sound better. MusicCast app still kind of wonky and could use some improvement. Speaker required several attempts to make them work.

Like the sound and when it's working, it's great. Unfortunately they lose connection about once a month. Have to start all over and set the whole system up again. Very frustrating.

I bought these speakers to improve the surround in my open family room. To my surprise, YSP-5600 is not compatible with the MusiucCast speakers. I connected to the Apple TV in my bedroom, but I can't control the volume with the Apple TV remote control, so I can't use it either. Now I'm looking at where to use them. Setting both speakers as a stereo performs very well.

Provides great stereo sound in 3 rooms of my house. Wi-Fi connection not reliable on one of the units despite all 3 being approx. same distance from the Wi-Fi router. I installed a brand-new high speed modem and router just before these were installed.

The app keeps losing both my av receiver and portable speaker ! The issues make the speaker pretty well useless ! I could understand if it was only once or twice but it's happening every month or so ! Very disappointing Yamaha !

Works Perfect with My Yamaha Network Receiver. No Delay at all from my Livingroom speakers . I purchased for my bathroom. The Musicast App controls my receiver and the WX-021. You just need a 110v outlet and a wireless network. I've not tried the Bluetooth function because I have no need for it with the network function. The sound quality is decent for its size. For the application I'm using it for though is perfect. If you have a network receiver you will not be disappointed with the functionality.

My wife and I do a lot of cooking and previously we used a record player or our phone speakers to listen to podcasts or music while cooking. Flipping the record midway through an onion is annoying and the phone speakers weren't loud enough. Our MusicCast 20 has enough power for us to hear even the most soft spoken pod casts while I'm frying a steak and my wife is noisily chopping vegetables. The sound quality, even at very high volume, is impressive. We're thinking about getting another for the other side of the house, so that we can control party music from one place with the app. Speaking of apps, the spotify integration is very easy to use. My only gripe is that sometimes the volume intervals seem different when using Bluetooth vs Wifi resulting in some situations where I accidentally make it way too loud.
