The DuoModo xMac mini/Echo III Desktop System is a pre-configured, dual-module desktop enclosure that seamlessly integrates an xMac mini module and an Echo III module. This system is the ultimate upgrade for your Mac mini, providing secure computer mounting in a DuoModo desktop or rackmount enclosure.
The xMac mini module comes with a built-in 40Gbps Thunderbolt 3 storage dock, offering NVMe storage expansion capability and additional ports for connecting peripherals. The front panel boasts a passthrough 40Gbps Thunderbolt 3 port and three 10Gbps USB ports (two Type-C, one Type A), ensuring versatile connectivity options for your devices.
The system also features an internal expansion with two M.2 NVMe SSD sockets on top of the dock, perfect for one or two M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe SSDs (sold separately). An internal USB Type A port is also included, ideal for connecting an iLok USB-A, thumb drive, or bus-powered USB storage drive.
The DuoModo xMac mini Module ensures quiet operation with two temperature-controlled, variable-speed fans. These fans automatically provide cooling for the Thunderbolt 3 dock, any installed SSDs, and the module's power adapter, ensuring your system stays cool even during heavy usage.
The Echo III Module of the DuoModo system allows the connection of up to three PCIe cards to computers without card slots. It supports three full-height, full-length Thunderbolt-compatible non-GPU PCIe cards and provides 400W of power for the most demanding of PCIe cards. This includes qualification from Avid for Pro Tools | HDX PCIe cards. The module features quiet, dual temperature-controlled Noctua fans rated at 17 dbA and connects through a super-fast 40Gbps Thunderbolt interface.
