Canon's first attempt at a golf rangefinder is a success. The unit is very small and fits in my pocket. It has all the features of the top brand competitors along with Canon's IS lens technology, still camera and video camera. I would of given the Canon rangefinder five stars if the charging cable was included.

The combination of rangefinder and camera is perfect for my use. Was surprised to find out that there was no charging cable or power supply included. Recommended cable and power supply cost an additional $200.

I finally received the product and tried it out. The stabilizer is excellent and very user-friendly. I'm glad I bought it.
Overhaul your golfing experience with the PowerShot GOLF Digital Laser Rangefinder, a compact yet powerful tool designed to enhance your game. This high-tech device swiftly calculates distance and slope to the pin, providing you with the precise data you need to improve your shots. Designed for convenience, the PowerShot GOLF is compact, lightweight, and water-resistant, making it an ideal companion on the golf course, even in light rain.
Equipped with Optical Image Stabilization, the PowerShot GOLF eliminates the impact of minor hand movements, allowing you to focus on the flag with clarity and precision. The device's innovative Slope Correction Technology takes into account the elevation to the green, providing you with the adjusted distance needed to reach the flag. This feature can be easily toggled on or off during play via the user menu, with a blue LED light indicating when Slope Correction is deactivated.
Unlike traditional optical rangefinders with a single magnification, the PowerShot GOLF boasts an electronic viewfinder with both standard (6x) and zoomed (12x) views, bringing you closer to the flag for a more accurate lock-on. With a measurement range of 7 - 800 yards and an accuracy of +/- 2 yards at maximum distance, this device also features a flag pin lock function that vibrates upon locking onto the flag, providing you with instant feedback.
The PowerShot GOLF stands out from the crowd with its built-in photo and video camera, allowing you to capture memorable moments on the course or record your swing for later analysis. Despite housing advanced optics and a laser, this digital laser rangefinder remains impressively compact, measuring just 1.2" x 2.3" x 3.6" and weighing a mere 150g. It's small enough to fit in your pocket or the included belt case.
Designed with the golfer in mind, the PowerShot GOLF is IPX4 equivalent water-resistant, ensuring a little rain won't dampen your game. With the PowerShot GOLF Digital Laser Rangefinder, you can play whenever you want, not just when the weather is perfect.
