The blue light is dim
HX3: the blu light to see bugs on your pants at night os dim, small, dull, not bright. The regular light feature is very bright.

Easy to carry
I've been buying these flashlights for years. The size, the clip, the magnet and the tilting lens make this a useful piece of kit. I really enjoy the red lens. Downside is that the red filter activates AFTER the bright-white light as one pushed the single button. This can lead to a white-light flash. And the batteries and the bulb can have short lifespans.

I have purchased this twice
I have purchased this product twice abd I have to convince myself not to buy a third one. I love clipping it to the bill of my hat or magnet mounting it to a car hood. It's the perfect hue and light intensity, even in pitch black areas.

Invaluable Tool
While I already have one I did notice that it looked like it was going to be discontinued. You really can't beat it for the price. If I were to lose my original light I would be very disappointed. Keeping this one safely in a draw... just in case. Great product for night and astrophotography. The red UV is invaluable.

Super convenient.
Use this light daily on the bill of my hat. The light pivots allowing you to aim the light up or down. Battery cover has a small tether so you don't have to worry about holding it while loading batteries. I am super happy with the lifetime warranty.
I liked it enough to buy the HX4 which has the white light and red light. And I bought another to gift to a friend.

Handy little thing
This little guy has fast become my favorite light by far for doing electrical work in the dark and to light up small work spaces where most other lights won't fit, and it's far brighter than I expected.
Larger lights end up behind or next to you, on the floor or hanging somewhere above you; head, shoulders and hands always obscuring some portion of those valuable photons. The hx3 can hang onto your shirt collar, front pocket, sleeve, glove or belt. And it's clip is magnetic, so stick it onto any ferrous tool or surface near where your hands are if needed. And better yet, no breakage of bulbs or burn marks from HPS, MH lamps or my Halogen drop light.

Cute and bright
Compact and lightweight with a bright beam. The mechanism to aim the beam has an impressive arc. I dunno when I'll need the UV light, but I couldn't resist buying it.

It's a decent light
It's a ok light. In attics it's bright enough to see. But the down fall is the button on the front. You can't put it in your pocket. It will turn on. It's not bright enough to get hot so you will have it on your pocket all day and when wanting to use it it will be dead. I really like the clip. I wear a tool vest so that goes good on it.

Bad switch
Great light except for the switch. Can not be stored any where on person without accidental activation. Needs protection from being pressed or a lockout feature.

Like the versatility of the HX3
I like the versatility of the HX3 with options to clip on hat brim, clothing or magnetically and happy with the amount of light and even dispersion. I have used it to craw through the attic and I now am using it to walk the dog at night with it clipped on my belt.

THIS IS ONE OF THE HANDIEST WORKLIGHTS. its small size makes it very lightweight & its bright light illuminates the whole area.i accidently bought 2 but im glad i did because i'll use them both.

Cool light, many uses
This little light is pretty handy and not too bulky. It distributes a broad beam of light which is nice for most tasks.With a magnetic clip it is very versatile in how you can mount or wear it. My only complaint would be the UV light is not as intense as I expected. I bought this to use in the automotive industry for a general purpose light and to help identify fluid leaks with UV dye, however I’m not sure as most leaks tend to be in cramped spaces if the UV will be able to get close enough. It’s still a handy light and I did test to the UV on a rag with dye on it and it does work, it’s just not as intense as I expected.

Great little light. I clip it to my jacket when out with the dog after dark and I'll use it ice fishing to walk out before daylight and the UV to make my glow jigs really glow.

This flashlight is a must-have
This flashlight is perfect for me I wear a lot of hats and it Clips right to the bill extremely useful for having both hands-free also excellent quality o rings all the way around to keep it dry and dust free. Very light weight and puts off plenty of light

Flashlight with UV
Good worklight which lets you work in UV mode as well as regular light mode. The light is cast in a wide area evenly and is good for lighting up a relatively broad area. This is as opposed to a spot-type light which may be stronger but focused on a more limited field of view. It has 4 little metal magnets and a clip that are useful to hold it in place.
One thing I noticed is that the knob that closes the battery compartment on the bottom protrudes so you can't stand the light upright. However, you can lay it down on its front or back and the top of the light swivels so you can reach most angles.

Handy and bright light
I thought this CoastProducts HX3 magnetic light would come in handy, but I didn't realize how much, until my tire went flat. In the dark. I was able to stick it to where I needed, keeping my hands free. It gives a bright, white light. The UV setting is also going to be useful. Nicely weighted and well built product. I recommend it highly.

Very Bright
This light has a very bright light that illuminates well. It is easy to attach to your belt to carry. it has a swivel on the light so that you can adjust it for needs. it would work well for a variety of jobs that require you getting as much light as possible in a small space. has a few different brightness settings.

Great light
This is a great light that is very portable. I have a light similar to this but it is designed to be worn on a headstrap. This can clip onto clothes and other items, as well as magnets on the back too make it very handy. I use this outside when I garden in the evening as well as hiking. The UV light is great for scorpion hunting. If you need a multipurpose light, this is a good one. I would add that the light reach is a little short of the 13m they suggest. I think 10-11 is more accurate.

Great light
This compact flash light has been great. It provides a lot of light while not taking up your whole hand to allow you to do things while holding it. It has been especially helpful when I'm checking the meat in the smoker before the sun rises for the day. Great product!

Handy Tool
This is really handy tool to have around. I've been keeping it in the side door of my truck and have found a few good uses for it! The clip is durable and switch is firm. I expect this to stay with me for a while.
