It plainly says dual power, built in usb port and charge indicator and it has none of these! I mean really?? This really kinda sucks! It was also a gift and he also thought it had all those things and was rechargeable and it's definitely not and that's just not good business at all!!

Highly recommend this headgear lamp.So many uses for this hands-free source of light is a toolbox or tacklebox favorite of mine.I use it more then i thought i would when i purchased it almost 5 years ago for working inside vessels of chemical plants. Loved that it had hardhat clips i could buy that adapt to the strapping on the headlight so it wont slide off.The swivel, or tilt action is the best ive found in any HL that ive came across. No flopping back and forth. And stays in the position I set it at so i can finish my job and use my hands to get it done. Battery life is great as well Completely water proof to rain and splashes of water. Dont think its depth proof for water?3 settings of brightness help me prolong battery life or just kick in the super bright setting to make walking in the high grass a bit more at ease for me.I love my headgear light i keep mine on my gearshift in my truck for easy access on the move.

Based on my experience with other Coast products, which have always provided excellent light quality and features, this headlamp fails to deliver. Had I read the reviews here first I likely would have passed on this product. The switch, which has a huge press surface, I find it only works when pressing directly on the extreme right side of the button area which is not handy when it is on your head. Additionally as noted by others the light intensity is nearly useless. My son and I were helping fill sandbags for flood efforts here in Chilliwack and I had to resort to my handheld light which hampered my efforts. Coast's more expensive lights probably provide better performance.

Very disappointed! I didn't have high expectations because it wasn't that expensive but this is ridiculous! Doesn't last long on high quality batteries

Much better than the original! My first one was faulty and had very short run times. Coast replaced it right away. ( great customer service. The new version has high and low and "turbo". Although the new "High" setting is 180 lumens vs 250 lumens there is no real difference in brightness, and both high and low are now usuable for hours. ( the turbo 255 lumens is momentary). If it had a memory instead of cycling thru the red settings to turn it off I would give it 5+ stars. But it works great, and it's hard to find a 2 aaa headlamp.

The product says it has a max run time of 13 hours. I cannot get over 30 minutes of use with this before it dies. The red light setting lasts about 10-15 minutes before shutting off and the light lasts 15-20 minutes before going dim. I have changed the batteries multiple times with the same problem occurring 30 minutes after use. It has to be a product design issue because I own two of these lights and the problem is the same with both.

It consumes battery a lot heavy duty no doubt solution buy some rechargeable batteries i like to have a frontal light with more than button if you have many option light why ? Because every time to turn it of you have to push 2 or 3 times the button same thing to turn it on

Not worth the money. This light was to replace one that was received as a Christmas gift due to the original having and issue of going dim after 10-15 mins of run time. The replacement light has the same issue.

I got one of these lights for Christmas this year, the first time I used it it had the dimming issue others have reported. I contacted the warranty dept and they sent me another light. Well I used that light for the first time this morning and it’s a good thing I had a back up because it had the same dimming issue.

Really like the fit, feel, and light output but this headlamp will go through a set of batteries in 15-20 minutes of use. I would recommend buying a different model or brand.

I got my headlamp about 8 months ago and was pleased with it. It is not my primary / favorite headlamp, but it was bought as a back up. Recently, as stated by other posters, it started to dim out after just a couple of minutes. I reached out to Coast and they took care of it immediately. New headlamp is functioning perfectly and seems brighter than the original one. Thanks Coast for the great service.

I bought this a while ago and have had the same issues of the light fading after a few minutes that others have had. Being the only light I had on me I tried to keep using it but it heats up so fast that I had a red rectangle mark on my forehead for about an hour afterwards. Just picked up the FL11. Hope that one is better.

I bought this headlamp at Home Depot and regret every penny. The lamp loses power in about three minutes, If you shut it off the batteries regain power. I need something more reliable. hat a piece of junk.

Wow, this head-mounted light is incredible. The bright setting is blinding and perfect to see the exacting detail you need in a dark or dim setting. You can also opt for a lower-power light that's good for casual lumens when you want to, for example, illuminate surroundings as you walk. Red light and flashing red light settings are ideal to let other folks know where you are without the traditional extra-bright headlamp. Once the strap is adjusted appropriately, the light sits relatively comfortably on the forehead. Highly recommended!

I’m using this light to go under my house in the crawl space to do some wiring work. The light is bright and it’s also small enough that I barely remembered it was on my head. I’m used it on my bike helmet successfully.

Love it! The wide flat strip LED is a new concept to me. I've owned dozens of other headlamps going back years, and this one it the most practical because of the wide, flat wash of light it puts out. Most traditional headlamp beams are too narrow and focused, so you end up with tunnel vision. This one lights up the whole area in front of you, so you can see more naturally. The unit is compact and light weight. it uses normal batteries, and lasts forever. There's a red mode and a blinking red mode for distress situations. I could see using that mode to place near my car if i'm stranded on the roadside at night. or i wanna have an obvious beacon for firends to find me in a crowd. My only issue: these 4 mystrery clips that came with the headlamp. Seems like they are for routing a cord, but there's no cord, as the power supply is self contained in the lamp housing...Not sure what they are for, and there's no explanation anywhere in the documentation or on the Coast website. its a mystery. Anyone? Overall high quality headlamp. would recommend!

Been wanting a small AAA batt powered headlamp for a while. Got lucky with this one from Coast. It's a small size and is lightweight and has some nice features. The adjustable strap is comfortable to wear and the hinged light design is very nice. Light output is also very nice to do some hands free work in the dark or find your way around a dark campsite. The high output is nice and bright and low is more than adequate for doing work up close. The red light is great and there's an emergency mode but I wish you could switch just to one mode and use it instead of having to scroll through high, low, red, sos, off, all the time. Other than that minor issue I'm happy with it. Will see how long it holds up.

Love the sleek design and 250 lumen COB. The problem is that after about 1/2 hour the light begins to dim so that, after about 30 minutes, the light is at abut 30% brightness. Turn it off, wait a while and it "recharges." Apparently the sleek design I love puts the lamp in too close a proximity to the batteries, sapping them. When off, the batteries recover. This should have been discovered in the design stage, not by consumers. I now have to replace my new lights at my expense - no offer from Coast to compensate in any way - too bad, so sad.
