Great addition to an amazing camera!
Great addition to the R3! I purchased it to allow for the camera strap to be connected at the bottom instead of the top. To me this solved the issue of the camera strap falling across the lens when going quickly from landscape to portrait mode.

Crafted from solid blocks of 6061-T6 aluminum, this camera body plate is custom-designed to fit the Canon 5D Mk IV perfectly. It is fully compatible with the 1.5" RRS Dovetail Standard, ensuring seamless integration with your existing gear. The plate features precisely contoured anti-twist flanges, which prevent any unwanted movement between the camera and the plate, providing a secure and stable connection.
The quick-release design incorporates a custom-machined 1/4"-20 threaded, captive-style mounting screw, which securely threads into the tripod mounting socket of your camera body. This ensures a reliable attachment, while the safety stop screw prevents accidental sliding out of a partially open RRS clamp when the camera is held vertically.
Additionally, this base plate includes a fully integrated Quick Disconnect (QD) mounting system. This innovative feature allows photographers to swiftly attach or detach a support strap system, thanks to the QD mounting socket.
