Shopper : I can't figure out how the battery in the ikelite ds-51 is charged. Or is it a disposable battery that you change between sessions?JOHN N : They run on AA batteries. If you have rechargeable, you have to take them out to charge.BARRETT C : The Ikelite DS-51 uses 4 AA batteries. They can be alkaline, lithium, or a type of rechargeable AA, it's your choice (don't mix different types of batteries,though). If you use rechargeable AA's they have to be taken out of the flash to charge them. They cannot be recharged while in the flash/strobe.
