This premium matte box, part of the esteemed Star-Trail series, is expertly crafted for mirrorless cameras, offering essential protection against sunlight and other light sources that can cause unwanted glare and flare on your footage.

The kit is equipped with a robust set of four threaded adapter rings (67-95mm/72-95mm/77-95mm/82-95mm), ensuring compatibility with a wide range of circular filters such as VND, GND, CPL, and common DSLR and 95mm cine lenses. For those requiring additional flexibility, an optional Adapter Rings Kit (52-95mm/55-95mm/58-95mm/62-95mm/86-95mm) 3383 is available to extend the range of compatible lenses.

Included in the kit is a high-quality filter frame (4x5.65") with an aluminum alloy construction and an innovative anti-off design, allowing for quick, fingerprint-free installation. For those utilizing 4x4" filters, the Filter Frame 3648 is available for purchase, while the Filter Frame Kit (4x5.65") 3649 or VND Filter Kit 3651 can be acquired to hold multiple slide-in filters simultaneously in complex shooting environments.

The SmallRig matte box supports ultra-wide angle shots with focal lengths of 14mm or greater, thanks to its formfitting filter system. The lens hood, featuring a magnetic installation and quick release design, simplifies the process of adjusting to different shooting conditions. The carbon fiber top flag can be opened up to 180 degrees for additional light control. For even more glare prevention, the Side Flag Kit (95mm) 3647 is available, and the Rod Support 3652 can be purchased to provide extra lens support and protection.

Constructed from lightweight magnesium alloy and carbon fiber, the Star-Trail series matte box is designed to offer a lightweight shooting solution without compromising on durability. The evolutionary design of the U-shaped Filter Frame and the Shading Hood ensures magnetically assisted alignment and a quick locking/unlocking system that is both secure and user-friendly. The Professional High Definition Filter Set features German SCHOTT 8270 optical glass with 18 layers of coating on each side, ensuring maximum light transmission and accurate color rendition while reducing flare and reflections. These resilient coatings are also waterproof, oil-resistant, and scratch-resistant, ensuring the longevity and performance of your filters.

Please note that this matte box is incompatible with 2mm thick, 100 x 100mm, and 100 x 150mm slide-in filters. It cannot hold slide-in and circular filters simultaneously and is not compatible with circular filters with an outside diameter larger than 100mm. When using the Filter Frame (4x4") 3648 or the VND Filter Kit 3651, these should be placed in the innermost slot near the lens after removing the lens hood for optimal performance.
