I lusted after this case for almost a year and FINALLY bit the bullet to purchase. Was excited when I got it but unfortunately this case will not stand up to wear and tear (normal) due to the pattern/design. It's very pretty but due to its nature the glitz is going to wear off just by touching it and it's especially going to flake off where the cover bends back. I had mine just a couple days and it's already coming off in that area. I haven't even handled it very much. Will be returning it. I lost my pre-paid return label and e-mailed *speck for the address so I could send it back myself. It's been 4+ days and I haven't heard back... Guess I'll have to call and ask for it in person so I don't get stuck with it...

This is my third Speck iPad cover and I keep coming back, because they are durable, plus looking great. I have also used Speck cases on all my iPhones. I love the textured back that makes them easy to hold and keeps them from not slipping on the car console.

Honestly the online stock image doesn't do this case justice! It's really pretty in person looks so much better than I imagined. I think it would be even better if it came in different colors for this pattern, like a blue, pink, silver

This was a replacement for a Speck case I all ready had. I dropped my I-pad and it broke some of the case. I was looking for a red case and this was as close as I could come to it. I really wish it would have been available in just a bright red but it's still a good case.

I bought the metallic copper color, and it's not metallic, I'm a bit disappointed and so is grandma since it was for her, she wanted metallic copper and unfortunately it looks shiny online but it's a matte finish.

Perfect fit (tight). I'm confident the iPad won't fall and is well protected. The con is the "oil slick gold" scrapes off, especially on the folds. I'm a light user and even then it has a noticeable area where the coating has been scratched off the back already. If they added a plastic coating of film on top it would last longer. That said, it's a great looking cover that will definitely protect and act as a stand. Definitely 4 stars, almost 5.

I purchased the gold-slick color, which looked like it had a matte finish on an iridescent, multi color cover. Instead, I opened it Christmas morning to find a shiny, gold color that makes me cringe looking at it. Super disappointing! Even more disappointing was that Speck won't even cover the cost of the return shipping despite the fact that it was their misguided advertising that caused the problem.

Product is not as pictured. Description is more accurate. Picture shows what appears to be soft, grayish, textured leather looking cover and light gray tray. Actual product has shiny, silvery, metallic looking cover with different pattern than pictured and darker gray tray. I expect picture to be accurate because "a picture is worth a thousand words". If you like the product as pictured, recommend you don't purchase this item.

so many good things about this case: feels very slim in the hand, not too heavy, the texture really helps provide a secure grip, the clasp keeps the flap from opening when you toss it in a bag, and previous versions I've had were quite durable & kept our iPads well protected... Be warned though: the photos don't seem to be accurate to real life. I ordered the "red" and was extremely disappointed to find a _brown_ case in the box when I opened it. My son said it looked like someone had made an iPad case out of a football, and he's right! It's a fantastic option for a sports fan (slap a team decal on the lid & you'd be good to go!) but not for someone looking for a reddish color as the name suggests.

Bought my original case in the US and brought it back to UK where I live. It was a very tight fit for the iPad and I really struggled to get the device in and out of the case. It seemed too small. Wrote to Customer Services in CA and, after a bit of a hassle to take photos of the case and device I received my replacement case. It was not the one I asked for but hey, it fitted better. Have to agree with another reviewer that the images on the Speck website do not accurately represent the actual case colours. They have to address this otherwise customers will be disappointed.

After only a few months of using the case for my mini4 it began to crack. Tried to reach out to customer service and never got any feedback from them. Will not buy another Speck product.
