Overheating Problem, Slightly Cloudy but Otherwise Good
The only problem I have with this case is the bottom portion seems to cause the Macbook to overheat. I put the entire case on the macbook which I literally just removed from the macbook box and it was already overheating because of the case. I removed the bottom portion and I haven't experienced this ever since. It has a bit of cloudy-ness to it. Other than that it does what its supposed to do.

I would definitely buy this product again
This case is amazing, literally protects my MacBook. Yes it can be hard to get in it's really worth it. I got the black clear one because I'm very simple and I think it looks nice on my Mac book. If anyone wondering I got the Mac book 2020 and it fits perfect

A definite need for an affordable, durable case
It's great for my MacBook Pro. I love the clear design and how I can still see the color and design of the laptop through it. Perfect for getting jostled around for a busy student life. Holds up.

I WOULD buy again
great for protective shielding for my computer. having four sisters, things can get dropped easily and break, but I know my computer will be safe with the protective shell.

Not worth the $$$
I loved this for the duration that it was in tact.
My fan doesn't keep my laptop cool because the case covers it.
The case has giant cracks on the bottom.
And the warranty isn't helpful at all because there is no insurance that I will actually get a case after I send it in. If I do send it in, I will have to wait a maximum of 10 days to be told whether or not I'll even be approved, so my laptop won't be protected during that time.
This is a pretty expensive case for it to crack the way it did.

Doesn't fit MacBook Pro 13inch
I have the 2020 MacBook Pro 13 inch and the bottom case doesn't fit properly. The top case is fine, though.

Would definitely recommend!
I was a bit hesitant after seeing some reviews say that the case was loose or cracked easily. But I've found neither to be the case (ha)! It fits well and though the color is a bit more blue than aqua, I like it a lot! Would definitely recommend as it keeps my computer secure.

Did not fit my 10 year old product.
Unfortunately, this smartshell did not fit my 10 year old 15" mac book pro. It also was not as sturdy as the one I purchased about 10 years ago. It had a break in the plastic. I ended up duct taping it. I will be returning this product.

Durable and secure
I've had shells before that crack quickly (and that's without dropping the laptop!). Speck SmartShell is amazing quality, secure, and still thin enough to keep my laptop from feeling bulky. The color is awesome! I have the same Speck case on my work laptop and I had to ask our IT guy what style case we use because I needed it for my personal one. So happy with this purchase!

Nice case with only minor complaints
I really enjoy the slim fit of the case. It doesn't add too much bulk but at the same time offers protection. I also love the finish of the material itself (nice matte texture). I only have a few complaints with the product. First, the clear option isn't actually clear. It's more of a frosted, matte clear. While I actually don't mind the look of it with my space grey Mac, it was not what I had intended on purchasing. There are also some minor areas where the case does not clip to the Mac all the way, but I think it is a manufacturing issue instead of a design issue. It is barely noticeable and I do not think it compromises the case in anyway. It still seems like a sturdy fit and I don't believe it will fall off.

Not sure I would buy it again
Looks great on my MacBook Pro, like the color and was easy to put on. Unfortunately having it on prevents the use of a Hyper Drive that connects with 2 C USB connectors. The alternate would be to take off the bottom portion to use it, but that is a pain. I download photos from a memory card frequently and the inability to use the Hyper Drive to do that is very disappointing. Think I'll go back to using the other cover.

Trustworthy Case
I have had a Speck case for years and will never buy another brand. They are sturdy and I like that the rubber pieces on the bottom don't come off.
