Bronny D : Can you use it if your iPhone has a case on it?Michael C : I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 9, with a thin, minimalist type case. I have no problems clamping the phone with case in the Shoulderpod S2. I think you would have to have an unusually thick case to run into problems with fit.THOMAS C : Yes, The surface that hold the phone is 'V' shaped with a rubber cushion in it. The clamping is done by tighten the Knob on top. I have a leather case and it fits in the handle.

Bring Back The Metal Handle

The longer wooden handle feature is ok but the solid metal handle from the earlier version is preferred. Given the option, keep or lose the longer handle size but bring back the metal!

Best Yet

After trying/using several different iPhone handles/grips, I've finally found one that works. The S2 is by far the best of the bunch for many reasons. 1) The packaging is world class. As you're taking the components out of the box, you realize you purchased something special. 2) The components are manufactured from high quality materials. They look and feel well-made and sturdy. 3) Once assembled, the S2 fits in your hand very nicely. The wrist strap and grip work beautifully together. 4) The phone grip is brilliantly designed and engineered - it holds the phone snugly and securely. 5) With the phone attached, the grip feels like an extension of your arm - I feel confident and comfortable holding and maneuvering my phone anywhere, and I mean anywhere. 6) The S2 is part of a larger ecosystem. Shoulderpod S2 Handle Grip

Wanted something that was easy to grab and go, this product was perfect for that. I find that it holds my phone securely, I have a moments case on my phone and lens which makes my phone pretty heavy, I'm very impressed. The quality is great and I would definitely recommend this.

Just what I was looking for

Simple solution for holding your phone like a camera - and with a strap. Easily mounts to tripod. Just a great solution and fits on any of my iPhone cases or without a case

Recommended even for those with large phones

I've been looking for a good way to shoot video on my phone for awhile now, and came across the Shoulderpod S2 recommendation in a Moment Lens equipment article. I am pleased with the quality of the grip for the price and feel it is sturdy enough to keep my iPhone 7+ safe while filming video. Pros: - The grip comes in a nice box which reinforces the perception of the product's quality. - The grip extends to accommodate my iPhone 7+ with the case still on the phone. - Secures me phone tightly and I am not afraid of it falling. - I am pleased with the low-profile design of this basic grip (Shoulderpod makes fancier grips for those who need the bells and whistles). The design is eye-pleasing, and I appreciate the addition of the natural wood on the grip. Cons - I definitely enjoy the wood element of the grip, but it does feel a bit rough in my hand. Would recommend sanding the wooden grip part with a finer grit so the user enjoys a smooth experience. Perhaps staining the grip as well. - I am appreciative that the grip accommodates my large iPhone 7+, but i am using the grip at pretty much the max length. It secures my phone with the case without a problem, but because it's so close to the end of the adjustable length I have to be careful I don't accidentally unscrew it completely off when initially adjusting the grip jaws to fit my phone. Would appreciate a few more centimeters of length so I didn't feel as if I were taxing the grip.
