Squier Affinity Strat looks great and came in as expected. Box looked to be resealed but the product was fine and packed well. Just as I expected it to be.

i love this guitar so much !! i got it as my first guitar and i'm super satisfied with it :) the pickguard is actually darker, and the body is whiter than in the picture btw . for the price of it, it's definitely such a great deal :D

Not quite the fit and finish I was hoping for, the Squier Vintage Modified SSS Strat seems a bit over priced compared to what the Affinity Strats go for. The guitar needed a good bit of set up to get it playing right and the fingerboard had glue and some rough spots that will need taken care of. All in all, a decent spare or practice 6 string, but don't expect too much.

Awesome deal! For the price Squires deliver the most bang for your buck. I will upgrade the electronics and pickups, but this is a great platform to build on. I looked real hard and couldn't find one single flaw in the silver finish. Neck straight and low action. Tremolo is only one way, but that will probably stay in tune better. Liked it so much I bought a second one to set up in drop d tuning.

Pros: price, look, feel Cons: heel/pocket fit, pickups, tuners Looks great and feels like a strat should at a good price. Pickups sound okay overall but lack a sweet spot. With super low action they probably sound tolerable. The tuners work fine, but they are vintage. The treble strings pop out when winding. I stick a toothpick in with G,B,E. The biggest problem for me is the neck fit. It creaks with pressure on either side of the neck. Tried a reset with no luck. It doesn't do it when playing so whatever.

At first I bought an Affinity Squire and wasn't very impressed with the Squire line.... This is Sooo much better. Build quality is excellent...frets are so much better...sounds (pickups) so much better. I could go on and on. Like night and day from the lower end Squires. One other thing...Adorama's customer service gives you the "brick and mortar" experience without the high prices. Big factor in my purchase

Squier Affinity Strat - Seafoam Green

Squier Affinity Strat looks great and came in as expected. Box looked to be resealed but the product was fine and packed well. Just as I expected it to be.
The rough-and-tumble Classic Vibe Stratocaster '60s evokes that musically adventurous decade, with a few modern features added. The '60s-era vintage-tint gloss-maple neck has a rosewood fingerboard with 21 medium-jumbo frets and a modern 9.5" radius. The thick tone comes from the alnico V single-coil pickups--quick attack with a bit more midrange force and a knockout bridge pickup. Custom staggered polepieces provide improved string-to-string balance.
Vintage-Tint Gloss Neck Finish - The neck on this model sports a vintage-tinted gloss finish for a highly desirable aged look.
Alnico V Single-Coil Pickups - These pickups use classic Alnico V magnets for slightly hotter output with enhanced string balance and warm midrange - great for lead guitar.
Modern Neck with "C"-Shaped Profile - This instrument features a modern neck designed for comfort and performance, with a contemporary "C"-shaped profile (the shape of the neck in cross section) and a smooth back finish - ideal for those who play with the thumb on the back or side of the neck.
