I HAD TERRIBLE TIME TAKING PICTURES WITHOUT THIS TRIPOD, BUT NOW I HAVE BEAUTIFUL PICTURES. IT IS COMPACT AND I CAN CARRY WITH ME ANY PLACE.IT WEIGHTS ONLY 2 OZ.LOVE IT

Quality level is appropiate to price. Trusting an 800 dollar phone to cheaper bracket did not seem prudent. I wold not use to hold a phone where there would be a lot of vibration (like on bike handlebars)but think it would stay put but that would probably wreck your phone. I liked this clamp so much I bought a larger one for my wife to use with her 8 inch tablet, easier to grip than the tablet alone and has the quarter by 20 tapped hole for other applications.
