A little extra space
This bottom plate was the missing piece that allows me to switch from tripod to monopod to hand held. It also elevates the camera so the tripod plate doesn't rub the focus ring and enables me to swap a battery without removing the camera from the tripod. Yet, I can still fit my camera in the case with the plate mounted to it. Bonus points!

Comfortable and light for my rig
Love the base plate and rods. It was the perfect rod length for my small FX3 rig and was super light. My only problem is that the bottom holes are versatile enough for the cage I have on my camera. I can only screw in one 1/4 screw comfortably into the bottom, and wish there was a hole for a second to fit for more stability. Might just have to get a new cage, but still annoying

I really wanted to like this thing more. I love its practical design, and it seems well made. It is just not a great fit for the rig I had in mind. I?m sure I?ll find a use for it (probably mounted on an auxiliary tripod). It?s good value for what it is.

Compact, well-built, inexpensive. Love it.
This compact 15mm rail kit works really well on my Manfrotto video head. It's very stable without getting in the way, and works great to mount my (also Smallrig) follow focus on. The base has 1/4-20 and 3/8ths holes for mounting. I mounted mine to the Manfrotto's quick-release plate, and mounted an Arca-Swiss compatible quick-release on top of it to get the camera on and off quickly.
The rail clamps are solid and the adjustment knobs have kipping ability?they pull out so you can rotate them out of the way once they're set. The rods are basic and solid.

Very good product

Inexpensive and effective
Cheap enough to buy several, and thus have extra control over balancing (moving the camera/battery/display around separately). The screw down mechanism has less risk of damaging the rails than some others I've run into, and the distance between screw holes makes it perfect for being able to have both a Sigma fp and its EF lens mount adapter separately attached.

Solid equipment. No fussing around. Does its job.
Used this with a BMPCC 6K and it works as described. Allows you to add matte boxes and follow focus gears to to the camera. Feels solid with no fuss.

It does what it’s supposed to do. I put mine on my Pocket 4K. There are enough screws to allow for it to be attached to my cage a couple different ways.

Perfect for small setups.

Great... But.
Great baseplate for the camera. Only complaint is that you have to align the manfrotto plate on the cage just right for everything to be square. Once you get it on straight it is amazing!
