What can I say? It's a solid product and does what it was meant to do. When tightening the knob, it really holds solid and with my strength can't be rotated until loosening the knob. Btw it holds onto the sensors' ring (not the lens) and is compatible with my Sigma 24-70 2.8. I'm using this for Santa photos with different groups that wanted vertical photos. Thanks SmallRig! The SmallRig 4148 Mount Plate Kit is compatible with both Arca-type and Manfrotto RC2 tripods, offering you the flexibility to use your preferred equipment. With a simple twist of a knob, the mounting plate can rotate by 90 degrees, allowing you to switch between horizontal and vertical shooting modes effortlessly.
In addition to its primary function, this mount plate kit also features 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes at the bottom, which can support additional accessories like the Handle 2093C to enhance stability in handheld mode. The baseplate can be used separately to meet your various needs, offering maximum flexibility for your shoots.
The SmallRig 4148 Mount Plate Kit is also equipped with a hinge arm at the battery door that fits the camera body perfectly, providing a better grip experience. It includes a strap slot, a 1/4"-20 threaded hole for the wrist strap, a quick release plate, and a magnetic double-head wrench for easy installation and release.
Please note that this product only supports lens adapter rings of less than 63mm in outer diameter and is not compatible with Tamron lenses with a USB-C port or Sony compact lenses.
