This exact parallel relationship between the front and back filter surfaces is verified by a laser interferometer. Each Schneider filter is checked with a densitometer for consistent density and tested with a spectrophotometer for optimal light transmission. This meticulous attention to detail results in ultra-high consistency, enabling cinematographers to swap like filters mid-shoot without any discernible variation in color or effect.The purity, color saturation, and repeatability of Schneider filters virtually eliminate the need for lab color timing correction. These filters are designed to withstand the most rigorous demands on set or location.
