Be prepared to capture stunning, stormy effects in your photography and videography with the 4x4" Storm Blue Solid Color #3 Professional Glass Filter. This high-quality filter adds a grey-green color to ocean and sky, creating a dramatic, stormy ambiance in your images.
Crafted from crystal-clear, water-white optical glass, this Schneider filter is diamond cut, then ground and polished to achieve precise flatness and plane-parallelism. This meticulous process ensures an exact parallel relationship between the front and back filter surfaces, verified by a laser interferometer.
The Schneider 4x4" Storm Blue Solid Color #3 filter is tested with a densitometer for consistent density and a spectrophotometer for optimal light transmission. This rigorous quality control results in an ultra-high consistency that allows photographers and cinematographers to swap like filters mid-shoot without any discernible variation in color or effect.
Thanks to the unprecedented purity, color saturation, and repeatability of Schneider filters, the need for lab color timing correction is virtually eliminated. These durable filters are designed to withstand the most rigorous demands on set or location. Many feature Schneider's specially formulated hard anti-reflective (AR) coating, which resists flaking, peeling, and scratching. This proprietary coating also reduces light loss and flare to less than 1% per surface, a significant improvement over untreated glass, which has a light loss of 4% per surface.
Schneider's screw-on filters are equipped with virtually jam-proof brass precision mounting rings. Unmounted Schneider laminated filters are protected against delamination and edge-chipping by Schneider's unique Edge Seal, which also reduces edge reflection and edge flare.
Unlike poorly made glass or plastic-resin filters, Schneider filters do not degrade the image quality, even when used in front of long lenses. This is due to the superior quality control, high-quality glass, and advanced glass grinding and polishing techniques used in the manufacture of Schneider filters.
Capture the world in a new light with the 4x4" Storm Blue Solid Color #3 Professional Glass Filter, and experience the Schneider difference in your photography and videography.
