Worst camera that I have ever had. Its never worked from the day I bought it.. The customer service will help you up until they get you past the time you can not return it and then they will simply stop responding to you and keep your money, This camera does not work and please call around and talk to people that use to sell it and have stopped because it simply does not work..

I’ve been lugging SOLOSHOT 3 to countless soccer games. I know how to use it inside and out so it’s my opinion it is unreliable and has cost me and my daughters valuable video for college coaches due to malfunctioning recording. Many goals and exceptional plays were missed because the SOLOSHOT showed it was tracking and recording but it wasn’t. All the that was recorded was a date time stamp but no video! The disappointment is MASSIVE. A robot video recorder is a great idea, but SOLOSHOT 3 misses big time. I’m going back to a old fashioned hand held video camera. We can’t afford to miss more player game highlights needed for a college sports recruitment video. By the way I did “update” the camera multiple times to no evail. Also, when I tried to contact SOLOSHOT no response and hours spend on hold.

Received my SOLOSHOT 65x right after they started shipping the first releases. for many reasons did not have time to use it, and since I saw initial software release had some bugs I was not rushing to setup. Since that time I have done a few software updates and now am using most current as of Thursday April 5. WOW. I went to the local park, turned on base, turned on tag. After a few moments both seemed ready to begin calibration as evidenced from the home screen on base was up and the tag did not have any lines though the 3 icons (track, record, GPS). I hit the Track button and on the next screen I was able to change settings of zoom (extra tight all the way to extra wide: I selected medium). I chose 1080P60frames as I don't have a 4k TV at home so figured no need to eat up memory for no reason. Then I hit Blue icon on base and it asked me what activity I was doing. I chose Field. The base did some dancing (spinning back and forth) and in about 45 seconds it stopped spinning. I walked away from the base with tag in my hand and it was staring right at me. I moved side to side to test and still there. All seemed solid so I attached the tag to a small Remote control car. For the next 20 minutes the base seemed to track the car perfectly. When I was done with my testing I wrapped up the show, went home and pulled the memory card to view the action. I will say this, VERY impressive indeed. I was blasting the car very fast far away and fairly close up to the base. The automatic pan, tilt and Zoom worked great. The medium focus kept the car in the frame the entire time. I am confident that I could even pull the zoom tighter and still have the subject in frame. I have to give this 5 stars because it would be impossible for me to film the car and drive it at the same time, and there is no one that I know that would have interest in sitting there with a camera in hand filming my car drive around a park. I am excited to use this at my local track with my real car racing, and also with our Shifter cart. Should be fantastic to help me improve my lackluster skills.

Loving my SoloShot 3!!! From surfing to my kids lacrosse and soccer games this thing is unreal!! I can review game tape with my kids. Now I can finally get great footage of myself surfing with video and pull still shots off of the videos. On top of that they are constantly coming up with new updates that make a great product even better. Best thing I’ve bought myself in a long time!! Thanks Soloshot!

i was in the initial preorder for the new SOLOSHOT and i waited a long time. the wait was worth it. i have been using it for kitesurfing, motocross and stand up paddle boarding and the footage i get is fantastic. this year they really did what they said they would, plus more. the first release of software was not perfect at all, but since then there have been a ton of updates. the most recent update is cool because i now have motion time lapse and manual control. manual control pretty much lets me use my SOLOSHOT as a regular video camera, indoors and out. and i can still live stream. keep putting out updates because it just keeps getting better. and the most recent one makes tracking so simple and spot on.
