It works great, but the durability is trash. My S Pen fell from the couch and broke. I've seen glass that could handle more with barely a scratch. It's not worth it, just buy an alternative. It'll be cheaper and It'll may be more durable

Again I lose another pen for my Galaxy S8 that very expensive, the bad magnetic feature again and again. I bought the last one from outside my country because I try to find it but no way which another problem with Samsung accessories. I think I am moving to another company after years and years of using Samsung products. Very disappointed.

I hardly use the Pen to my Samsung S8 tablet and the tip has broke off. Definitely a faulty tool to include with the tablet. I notice other reviews have experienced this too so obviously it is a Samsung's product not giving quality.

The pen tips are terrible. I've used Samsung pens since the note 4 and never had as amany pen tips break as with this one. And they are impossible to replace if the tip breaks completely off so the only option is to buy another pen.

I bought the Tab S8 a year ago and it came with it. The pen itself is amazing the tip is new. After a year of use (mainly note taking for college) the tip is in a very poor condition. I wish they would sell replacement tips on here but unfortunately it's not the case...why I put 4 stars

The S Pen is great. I love using S Pens on both my phone and my tablet. I had the Note phone forever, and now have the S23 Ultra - which is the Note with a different name - and the S8 Ultra Tablet. My use of the S Pen is why I spent the extra money to purchase S8 Ultra. Part of S Pen's value lies in its ability to actually be kept, and with its only mechanism of attachment being a weak magnetic field, it fails miserably at this. I lost the beautiful S8 Ultra's S Pen within two weeks of receiving it, and $60 is a lot of money to spend to replace it. I would not have lost it in the first place if there had been any kind of physical attachment to the tablet provided.

They would not refund cost of pen and for two months they told me they don't have a replacement pen to send me. They have them available on their retail online. 2 MONTHS! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. This pen writes really well and is very responsive. However, as others have pointed out, the durability is awful. I bought myself the S8 tablet for my birthday 2.5 months ago, and the pen nib wore down and broke off while I was taking notes. I talked to Customer Support and was informed that I would need to proceed with a ticket, which would take 7-15 business days to process. As a student, that's incapacitating, as I am unable to use my tablet during that time. Furthermore, I'm not even guaranteed to have it covered by warranty, as it's "physical damage". Anything that breaks within 3 months of regular use is more representative of poor quality than any fault of the customer. I've been a loyal Samsung customer, but I'm incredibly disappointed with the quality of this pen. These pens aren't cheap, so having multiple backups isn't financially sustainable for me.

Nib seemed loose after 6 months of use, and then the tip broke completely off making the end flush with the end of the pen.

I've bought the majority of my electronics from Samsung. However, I must confess that I find the quality and durability of their S Pen to be quite frustrating. I used it sparingly for taking college notes, but the tip degraded very rapidly, and there aren't more affordable replacements available. Given my student budget, buying another S Pen is not feasible for me.

Like others have stated, the quality of this is unacceptable. I come on here to see how much a replacement is because after only 2 months of normal use (note taking for class) the tip has worn down to the point of negatively affecting performance. The fact that they force you to buy a new pen instead of replacement tips is ridiculous. Not sure why they thought it was a good idea. Not to mention shipping out a low quality pen with a high quality tablet. Not sure what to do here.

cheap plastic with one single button that is hidden within the pen itself. Anyone that picks up the pen will have to search for the button. The pen magnets to the back of the tablet RIGHT WHERE YOUR HAND GOES TO GRAB IT causing the pen to fall off again and again and again and again. Terrible product by Samsung.

I have the S8+ .The s pen design is horrible. The magnetic connection is not secure and is guaranteed to fall off. Let the buyer beware. You will spend multiple times searching floors and carpets before finally losing this spen. I tried to be ultra careful, but lost it after 4 months. $59.99 is a ridiculous price for such shoddy design

Ive had both the apple pencil and the s pen that I use for both drawing and taking notes. The s pen along with the S7 FE tablet is a superior combo then the apple pencil and any other ipad. The price is great and with all the magnets on the case (included with the tab) I haven't lost it wich was my only concern

Decent pen but where can we get replacement nibs/tips? The tip wears out so quickly on this pen! I had a note s pen that lasted 5 years! This pen lasted days of use before the tip was destroyed.

i love the ability to take notes on my devices and have been using the note line since the note 2 "phablet" days. i have also owned multiple samsung tablets, and although i love this current one, the longevity of the spen nib/tip is lacking. mine has completely worn down, and unlike past versions, they don't ship any replacements in the box. it is a fairly expensive accessory, and to have it wear down this fast and not provide a way to change them out is unacceptable.

i like my samsung tablet and was happy to add it to my workforce, but the s pen does not match the quality of their other products. the pen seemed cool at first. unfortuneatly, after a few weeks of light duty use it stopped working properly. the nub had broken and there is no way to replace this component on its own. one must buy a new pen, which is too pricey if it is not going to last or work properly. sadly this limits the capabilities of the tablet, as drawing and other apps will not work without it.

I love the pen so much! Besides the tib bending. Ive always been happy with samsung products. My advice would be to put some more support in the tip, or a screw off to easily replace it. Other that great product. My favorite feature has to be the hover translate I wonder if your able to select how much of the text to translate or... a feature where it translates what's on the screen.

The pen itself works great, but the pen tip isn't durable and not covered under warranty, meaning it's expensive to replace when the tip breaks after only 3 months of use. Replacement tips also last only a few weeks each.

With one week of use the tip is now broken. I was takng notes in my Probability and Statistics course and the S Pen snapped. Everything is still there but it does not function as it did. What are the chances?

Like others, I have not had my tablet for an entire month, and the S-pen tip is wornout already. I'm a seminary student, so I take a ton of notes. I love my Tab S8 Ultra, but between the durability of the tip, the lack of extra replacement tips and the tool, and the terrible durability of the "Note View" cover...I'm disappointed in the accessories for my S8 Ultra, especially this pen.

i love my tablet and also the spen--at first. i've literally only been using it for 4 days, and the nib is already worn off. i'm a college student and need to take notes. basically, don't get this for school because you'll have to replace the nibs every week. it's also very difficult to hold without accidentally pressing the button, so this causes you to write a specific way, wearing the nib down even more. it's a really nice concept but is not made to last. i've had a wacom tablet since 2010 and the nib still lasts longer than this one.

i've had my tab s8 and pen for 8 weeks and i love this pen but i've already lost the pen 3 times, once for 3 days. small parts, especially in black are not a good design color and replacements are only in black (the s7 came in other colors). because the pen magnetically attaches to the back you can't wrap the pen with color tape as then it will not attach properly. i bought a 3rd party fold-over case with a pen loop which helps, but a colored pen would be much more visible. the button is also very hard to see and even just using a contrasting color button would have been helpful. temporarily losing the pen is aggravating, particularly as making colored pens available could easily make a big difference in user experiences with such a small but important accessory.

this thing is total junk. according to samsung, the s pen only lasts 10 hours in standby. so if you keep it secured in the keyboard case holder slot designed for it, and pull it out to use it when you need it, it's going to be dead pretty much always. how on earth did samsung make a pen that lasts 10 hours doing nothing? apple's lasts for weeks. microsoft surface pen lasts for over a year of constant use. 10 hours??? really? and for a flagship product? junk!!!

writing on the s8 ultra with the provided pen is far superior to what i have experienced on my ipad. i use a matte screen protetor that has a paper like feel that i bought on amazon. that makes it so much easier to write compared to the ipad with a paperlike brand protector. yes, you will wear down the nibs, but i found nice replacements on amazon (12 for $7) that fit and work great. i don't understand why so many people complain they can't find them. i have been through 1 over the course of two weeks. this has been what i have been waiting for in a tablet with a stylus for years.
