This is my 3rd Samsung SSD. I had an 830 which I replaced with an 850 Pro. I added this additional 850 pro so I can run them in RAID0. They are very fast and very reliable. Sure there are cheaper brands out there but after RMA'ing a few of their competitors SSDs over the years I am sticking with the Samsung.

Arrived well packaged. Easy to install, worked very fast, compared to my former boot drive, the WD Raptor 10.000rpm! Am using it for 10 days. So far excellent!

My MBP is 5 year old and came with 750 GB HDD. I have many professional creative software loaded and it was running very slow. Its startup took a few minutes. After installing the new SSD, it startsup in less than 20 seconds. It is absolutely amazing how fast my MBP runs now. It gave a new life to the laptop, and I am so happy that I upgraded it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I was very disappointed to receive this hard drive from Dell, only to see that, despite the manufacturer installation instructions which clearly portray a mounting kit AND a hard drive to USB wire, this DOES NOT COME WITH ANY OF THIS. I am currently on hold with Dell to resolve this issue. No where does it say that this INTERNAL hard drive DOES NOT COME WITH MOUNTING HARDWARE. Horrible, Samsung. What the heck.

Much faster than the Hitachi 500 GB hard drive that came with my Asus X202e Vivobook. Boots up Ubuntu 16.04 in less than 30 seconds. I bought the Samsung SSD after finding mostly positive reviews on it.

I upgraded my 250GB Samsung SSD to a 512 GB Samsung SSD. The included Samsung drive cloning software did not work for either drive. The software goes through the entire process smoothly and flawlessly until the very end, then it errors out (without saying what why). After going through the process twice I used a shareware utility (MiniTool Partition Wizard Free Edition) and it worked perfectly the first time. The 850 Pro-Series 512GB works great -- boots in one-fourth the time as regular hard drive -- programs like Photoshop load very much faster.

Coming from the old hard disk, I'm very impressed with the performance of this Samsung 850 Pro SSD. If there is no Windows update, I think my computer is shutting down in 3 seconds. I replaced my WD Black Edition with this SSD and very impressed with the performance. Absolutely recommended.

Upgrading to SSD drives is huge. I wish I had done it sooner but now that they are priced well it is a no brainer. It makes your computer at least twice as fast.

I replaced my slow HHD on my 2015 iMac with this drive, using an external thunderbolt hub. I got reading/writing speeds above 480MB/s. What a speed difference. A little expensive but well worth the price.

I'm using this item as an extra external storage for my 2015 Macbook Pro and it works well. Very light and faster than your typical USB drives. Cheap alternative to internal flash drives (which at this time do not exist for current MBP models).

After reading review articles and doing some research I decided to buy this SSD. It was an easy data migration and install and I am now enjoying a much faster boot up not to mention greater responsiveness from programs that used to seem sluggish. This my 3rd Samsung Pro SSD, I have had no problems with any of them, Data Migration works well and easy. They have really come down in price. The 128gb I started using as a additional boot/game drive (desktop). I was so impressed I wanted one for my new laptop. My set up now is 500gb desktop - 256gb in laptop. The old 128gb is a backup in a dock. It was a tad small for laptop, I don't need a ton of storage for laptop but I kept a WD passport 300gb portable drive in laptop bag in case. Once you start using these SSD's you won't want to go back to a platter drive. The Pro is probably one of the best SSD's out there I.M.O. The Samsung EVO series is just a tad slower and cheaper if you are on a budget but 5 year warranty-Pro's have a 10 year warranty. These drives are more reasonably priced now, they really speed things up. There is no reason not to upgrade to an SSD, if your a gamer it's a must have, they are so much better/faster then traditional H.D. I'll never get another platter drive. Besides a ram upgrade this a good way to speed up your existing P.C. as well. My laptop boots windows in 28 sec's & pages load quick with these drives. I would not get one smaller then 256gb now, the price per G.B. is becoming low enough at this point. You can check user and professional reviews on these drives. They are mostly favorable, I can recommend these drives myself from personnel use.

This SSD is exactly as described. It has sped up my system even more than I had expected, and the purported durability sounds like a great deal. The 850 EVO is almost as good for much less, but does not have the projected longevity that this drive has. The one issue I have is that it's SUPPOSED to come with Assassin's Creed Syndicate...I have yet to see anything even remotely relating to Assassin's Creed in conjunction with this SSD...
