I bought this Blu-ray player from Best Buy on 5/24/17. Almost 2 years to the day of purchase we noticed it would only play one DVD every 4 or 5 hours. It would need to be turned off and not used for hours after we played one DVD before it would accept another. Unfortunately now it won't play any DVD's.

This player no longer reads blu ray disks. I've tried updating software and resetting. Samsung customer support conclusion was to pay for a service technician. I can buy another player for that. Avoid this blu ray player.

This is easy to use and plays great. Works well with my tv. Only negative is not being able to use all features (cannot internet connect with RokuTV so cannot use apps.

Quality is "so-so", but biggest issue is the player won't play blu ray discs! After spending over an hour on the phone with the support I was told it needs repair - I've only had the player for 2 months, so you can imagine my frustration and disappointment.

Ordered 2 of these devices. For one of the devices the WiFi dropped frequently right out of the box. Beware of the 15 day return policy. The other device was fine. Also, take note, if you have a Samsung TV the enclosed "universal remote" will only turn the volume up and down, it will not allow you to change channels on the television.

I have over 800 dvd's some of which are narrow screen. I previously had a samsung LCD tv that had a stretch function that allowed me to watch these dvd's. I suspected that this bluray player would also have this feature but, it doesn't. Evidently my new samsung 4g uhd led tv does not have this feature either. I am very unhappy about this and my wife is even more unhappy. I also don't like the touch controls on the top of this unit since when I dust it, the unit come on. I guess that I can live with this but, we want to be able to watch all of our dvd's.

I replaced my older version of the Samsung DVD player. Took 15 minutes to install and it connected up to internet just fine. All Apps, including Pandora, Netflix, etc., would not download and if they did appear to download they would just disappear. After two calls to Samsung support, numerous Resets, and nearly two hours on the phone, they finally told me that there must be corrupt software and I could send in for repair (even though we downloaded updated software versions. I instead am returning the new device back to the store as defective. Too bad as I really wanted this.

Had this player for 1 week, seems to work fine. My previous Samsung player (BD-FM59C) only lasted 2.5 years. It was stuttering on playback. My other 2 Samsung BD players still work (purchased 2009). We shall see how long this one lasts.

A key advantage of the BD-J6300, is that it provides 4K Upscaling of everything that it feeds - DVD, Blu-Ray, and Streaming services. Many competitors only upscale the DVD's. The 4K Upscaling is excellent. Selecting the VIVID picture option, makes the colors really 'pop' on even a basic 4K set - much like you'd see on a more expensive 4K HDR set. This model supports DVD and Blu-Ray Discs. It does NOT support the extra-cost 4K Discs, now available for some titles, which require a much pricier player. I dare say the Upscaling is so good, you don't need and won't miss the 4K discs - so stick with DVD or Blu-Ray, and put the savings into more movies.

I have had this product for almost 1 year and the upscaling works great with my 4k tv. I also like that it is wifi enabled however the interface is a bit cumbersome.

So far, this product has met my expectations. Set up was complicated by the fact that it took hours to figure out how to reduce the width of my monitor screen to allow me to view the entire typing screen. So, I didn't know what the right or left keys were.

This products picture quality is a huge upgrade from Denon blu-ray player although I must say that it was 2005 player but the compatibility with my 2013 Samsung F5500 Plasma is pretty cool it took me a moment to get conneccted to my internet but once connected a thing of beauty, the up convert to 4k like resolution is not bad and the remote is pretty good with working in the smart hub and i haven't tried the 3D but i will edit my review but honestly I'm not a big fan of that feature although I have it available.

Very nice product for the price. Replaced a higher line Samsung that was out of date. Plays great and streams great. Only complaint is controls are impossible to see on the unit, wish they were illuminated. But then I guess I could have paid more!

Difficult to add what you want to the very limited my apps area which has about 1/16 of the screen. The rest of the main screen is adds and suggested apps which I want nothing to do with. Most used and preferred apps and items should be able to access within a few clicks. Remote works with TV but not sound bar.

As all of my Samsung products, this one works very well. Though it is lacking a specific features that I used regularly on the Samsung Blue-ray that it is replacing--it no longer reports in real time, the functional streaming resolution when the info button is pressed. As a matter of fact, the info button now does absolutely nothing when pressed in streaming mode. Aside from that bit of lost functionality, this is a well priced premium media player.
