Refresh rate, viewing angles

in apex legends it periodically goes blue (and no, it is not the application issue). brightness and contrast are not so great when it is in gaming mode. outside of gaming mode, it has an increased response time.

Quality screen, Smooth, Responsive, Crisp

I have owned this monitor in the 24" variant for over 3 years now. It has been an amazing monitor and by far the best one I have ever owned. I got mine for a great price at around $230 at Microcenter on sale. I have seen these go for 700 from private seller I advise you to be cautious when purchasing one. For the price it is an excellent value. The only issue I have ever had with mine is when I use multiple screens only when I first turn on the monitor or pc it gets lines and the screen goes all over. It goes away after 45-60 seconds and does NOT come back. This could be my gpu but it only does it when I have 2 screens hooked up so nothing really to complain about.

So far, so good

I got mine more than a year ago. I did not had any problem with this monitor so far. It still works like brand new. I hope this will last for 4 more years

Buggy and poor quality all over

I bought this monitor just over a year ago and it's given me a bevy of problems. First off, I would like to clarify that none of these problems are due to my graphics card (as I've used several ones) or my cord (also tried both multiple HDMI and DP cables). - Randomly after long periods of use and especially under load the screen will glitch causing darks to go completely blue. So that means anywhere it's dark there will be blue patches like crazy. Only restarting the monitor solves this. - If using Freesync, after rebooting my PC the monitor has to be restarted or it will unable to find the display-in. - Lighting on the right edge is terrible causing washed out colors along it. - I'm now getting blue and green ghosting in grey areas. Like scrolling in dark-mode Reddit will cause vertical blue and green ghosting like crazy. - My taskbar has a habit of burning in. Also the stand is the most cumbersome design I've ever used despite allowing more movement freedom. Overall this thing is so terribly glitchy and poor quality that I would steer clear of getting it. Go with the updated sister model CFG73 instead!!!!!! It is literally the exact same panel/mainboard but none of these problems! They must have updated the components to fix these issues.

color change

I got 2 of these monitors about a year ago and they both get a weird red color tint (glitched out look) when playing some games. They also both have weird lines when you first turn on your computer. don't waste your money on these, they don't las.

Great all around

Excellent quality colours, response, gaming is a dream with all that and the 144hz. Stand is very nice and modern. The on screen display is best I've ever used

144hz Defective

I had purchased this monitor in may of 2017. There is a lack of support for 144hz despite the model being a 144hz monitor. I am experiencing artifacts when using 144hz refresh rate, and unfortunately Samsung did not request a recall on the monitor despite the defects associated with this model.

Great monitor

Great monitor, has way better picture quality than the other gaming monitors in its price group, but the design is bulky and the display settings menu shows features that aren't included in it (such as the speakers)

Amazing Monitor, Not the Best Stand

Pros 144hz, 1ms Curved Looks Great Preforms Great One of the best monitors you can get at this price range Colors are amazing Cons Stand is very intrusive, you will need 1 ft of room on your desk. On the other hand, the stand allows you to change the view very well. The arena lighting is kind of intrusive, there is only 3 settings; Blinking, Sound, and Off. There is no solid. So anytime you have it on, it is constantly distracting you. Overall it is an amazing monitor for this price range. I have had this monitor for a little over a year now, No scratches, acts and looks like new. It has amazing build quality. Now that they have released their successor, I recommend the CHG70. Its 1440p for another 150. If you have the money, it is worth it.Otherwise, this is one of the best monitors at 1080p you can buy

Good but could be better

I currently own the 24 inch model of this monitors. While the 144hz refresh rate is nice the screen needs to be 1440p. The monitor I upgraded from I had been using since 2007 and it had better picture quality. I would not buy this monitor again unless I comes in a higher resolution model. The arena lighting is a waste for me and I never turn it on. The curved screen is different and it does add some appeal to this monitor but the 1080p makes games more pixilated than I would prefer them to be. The 27 inch model would only have a bigger issue with this. All in all it's an ok monitor but I would wait for an upgraded version before buying one of these.

High Quality Gaming Monitor

I purchased this monitor after playing the panel lottery for 6 months with various ASUS and ACER Gaming Panels (PG279Q and XB271HU/XB270HU. After using this Samsung CFG70 Panel for 3 Months I wanted to Share my feedback. Comparing the Samsung 24" CFG70 to these panels, with the Samsung I found the panel quality to be far superior than that of the competitors. The Samsung Panel had no backlight bleed or dead pixels on the first monitor, where as after 5 PG279Qs and 2 XB271HU, I was still unable to find another gaming panel that was free of such defects. The Contrast Ratio on the Samsung Panel Is Also Far Superior to its competitor gaming panels, bringing dark scenes to life, which I have noticed especially in titles of the Mass Effect and Tomb Raider series. For that reason, I appreciate the use of a VA Panel in this monitor. The Monitor Is Also Bright and The Colors Are Exceptionally Vibrant. Being that I use Nvidia Graphics Cards, I have not been able to take advatage of the free sync feature of this monitor, but I have not noticed any screen tearing either. The responsiveness of this monitor is equivalent if not better than the gaming monitors I compared it with. There is a very slight purple hue visible over Grey Scenes when panning rapidly in-game, however it is rarely noticeable, not distracting, and probably also present on other monitors using overdrive for their G2Gs. This purple hue is not present in scenes which are not overtly grey. Contrary to other reviewers, I found the monitor stand to be both innovative and user-friendly. Both the monitor cabinet and the stand seem to be well built, although the base is quite large relative to the panel. I also like that the I/O and ports come straight off the back for easier cable management, particularily with the stand clip to help manage and hide cables. The Monitor's Built-In Menu is also easy to use and offers some useful settings for adjusting black level and Overdrive to your preference. I would like to see more Gaming Panels from Samsung, particularily in 2560x1440 and especially 4k resolutions. This monitor was quite expensive for a 1080p Panel but well worth it in my opinion, especially with the included game bundle. Also, please release the CF791 or a follow-up model in a Black Variant. I will be purchasing my future gaming panels from Samsung as their quality is thus far un-matched from my experience with other gaming monitor brands.
