I bought this for gaming and am very pleased. I was hesitant because I had only done console gaming on a TV and my Samsung oled TV checked all of my boxes already. But getting into PC gaming this monitor works great with it and the xbox. The responsiveness is a game changer. I wish the screen were a touch brighter, but will be upgrading to a 32" oled before long!

Unfortunately, monitor screen came with a blotched spot out of the box. I reached out to Samsung customer support to request a replacement (within 5 days, as per their policy) - as should be reasonable for a recently bought defective monitor. They told me that I was not eligible for a replacement monitor, but I could return it for a refund and then re-purchase it again. However since the original deal was no longer available, I would have to pay MORE just to repurchase the same exact monitor. I don't understand why they could not simply replace the defective monitor that I literally just bought. I am frustrated that I even received a defective monitor, and even more disappointed that they could not offer me a replacement, or at least allow me to re-purchase the same monitor for the same price I just bought it for. ** TLDR: Got this monitor for a good deal, but beware of quality assurance (doing a quick search will show other bad first-hand accounts). Going forward, I don't think I can trust or recommend Samsung, especially after this customer service experience. Can't believe I would have to pay more just to replace this monitor that should't have come with a defect in the first place. Very disappointing.

I tend to use my Samsung monitor as my primary laptop display whenever I am in my room that is for video streaming, watching movies, playing games, school work, computer aided design and so on. The shift from my 1080p60hz laptop screen to this 4k165hz screen was as light and day as it could have been. Not only has it made my whole video watching experience a much better one but my gaming prowess has also improved a little bit. While i was a big fan of the infinity core lighting at first, i came to realize that the Core sync function was not as accurate as it could have been and essentially only changed its brightness which did not mimic the environment on screen that well. But regardless it is good enough. The wobbling of the screen is also a mild inconvenience especially since it doesn't take much movement to cause it to wobble. All in all, a great addition to my Samsung ecosystem.

Stopped working after less than a year, I tried to request a repair but it's not available for this product for god knows why even though I purchased an extended warranty and it hasn't even been a year yet. Every now and then the screen acts up and glitches out, but even worse in the past couple months every single time I try to play a game or even just use my computer normally the monitor shuts off on it's own (display is set to never shut off) and will not reboot without restarting my pc. Sometimes it does this once a session, sometimes it does this five times over the course of a couple hours and makes online gaming impossible. I'm tech savvy and have tried every fix possible. This monitor is just crap and samsung has done nothing to fix my problem besides telling me to do stuff I've already tried, DO NOT BUY!!!

Great monitor. For the size, 2k resolution is perfect. Personally 4k is overrated. Refresh is great and can substitute as a tv with the smart apps. No issues in the 6 months I have used it. Unless you count having two samsung monitors side by side and the remote controller both.

The monitor is absolutely stunning for the price. Great frames, low latency, nice features. It would be a perfect VA curved monitor except for one thing. When you activate game mode to achieve the 240Hz that is advertised, you get these horrible scanlines on the monitor. In-game, it isn't too noticeable until you either get a little close or a solid-colored object is shown, which happens quite a lot. Completely kills the gaming experience when you're reminded it's there.

This monitor is perfect for gaming and work from home. I spend about 8 hours daily doing accounting work, there is no way I can afford an OLED every few year due to burns in. This montior picture is amazing, the text is sharp for daily work driver. Gaming picture is speechless! The black is pretty close to an OLED. Overall if you need a monitor that can do both gaming and office work this is it.

This is an excellent monitor, however, the first one that I purchased came and had 2 clumps of noticeable dead pixels. I sent the monitor in to be repaired, and after 2 weeks I was sent a NEW monitor, that ALSO has dead pixels on it. For a $700 monitor, you'd think that there would be more quality assurance. I am very disappointed.

I did not believe the difference it made in my gaming, im older so don't see as good. The brightness and clarity are hands down a game changer. Trust me gamers on 1080p or small 4k, the view on these make a big difference.

The "32 Odyssey NEO G8" is an excellent monitor for daily use, and it provides an outstanding display in gaming mode. The only "shortcoming" is that it is difficult to calibrate properly, and there isn't a "properly developed Monitor Profile" from the Samsung download site, to take full advantage of the great features this monitor provides.

've been using the Samsung 32" Odyssey Neo G7 for a few weeks now, and I can confidently say this is one of the best monitors I've ever owned. First off, the 4K resolution combined with the 165Hz refresh rate makes everything from competitive FPS games to cinematic single-player titles look buttery smooth and incredibly sharp. The Mini-LED backlighting and HDR support are next level - blacks are deep, highlights pop, and the colors are vibrant without being oversaturated. The 1000R curve might look aggressive at first, but once you sit in front of it, it pulls you right into the game. It's immersive without being overwhelming. I was a little hesitant at first, but now I'm hooked. It even makes multitasking and productivity feel more natural. Another huge plus for me is the HDMI 2.1 support, which works perfectly with my PS5. Getting 4K at high frame rates with full HDR makes console gaming feel like a premium experience. There are a few minor quirks like some blooming in very dark scenes, but nothing that takes away from how good this monitor is overall. I really enjoy this monitor setup, i use it on my xbox series x as well as my pc and mac computers. The picture is very sharp and colors look good. I didnt think i would notice a difference gaming on this monitor verses a tv, but let me tell you that is not the case, this monitor has a very detailed picture and with the curved screen helps me get immersed in my game, usually destiny 2 or call of duty i dont have any issues with lag, everything seems to render perfectly. When using it with my mac as well as my pc the screen is big enough that i am able to multitask easily without having to have a 2nd monitor hooked up to them. overall i am very satisfied with this product.

This monitor being used with my laptop. After setting up with a docking station, it works great, just need one USB-C to plug to my laptop. Sometimes, the sound got lost, I had to reset the docking station. This is my first large screen monitor, a much better choice than 27" monitors.
